An article in the Richmond Times-Dispatch says the players are joining Craig Littlepaige in backing TimeCop, keeping his job safe for next year. Best news of the day!

My favorite quote from Harold has to be, "I'm not used to losing. Not a lot of guys are. It's just something you've got to deal with. It's life."

Glad he's learned to accept that losing is something you have to deal with when you choose to play for UVA, because that's life as a Hoo.

Yep. Choose. But Choose wisely.

We did play our tails off (Saturday), Harold said. Im not going to point any fingers. Having a first-year freshman offensive tackle (Eric Smith) going against a fifth-year senior (Jimmy Gayle), its not easy.

Our T-Fr Offensive Tackle (Jonathan McLaughlin) has gone against multiple ends that are equal to or better than Gayle and it wasn't easy either. But you don't hear us making excuses...

Also, since when does James Gayle go by Jimmy in the media?

Maybe that's why he didn't get voted to the all-ACC team. "Jimmy"?

Yeah, I thought it strange that Jimmy and James had about 40 votes each... weird...

Tho votes were split between James and Jimmy!

Apparently you beat me to it by about 7 seconds... touche.

I like how he says he's not going to point fingers, then practically points right to their offensive tackle.

Its because hes real, Harold said. When he comes to visit you, hes not going to show you the jersey, how many helmets we have and how many rings hes got (one from a 2008 FCS national championship with the University of Richmond). Hes not a flashy guy. He just keeps it real.

Umm, he doesn't HAVE anything to show. A 2008 FCS Championship ring to a FBS prospect might as well be a state HS championship ring. I hate London getting credit for things that he doesn't do in recruiting becausehe physically can't do them. Do you think any of the players consider that? HE CAN'T SHOW YOU A RING BECAUSE HE DOESN'T HAVE ANY. YOU DON'T GO THERE TO WIN, YOU GO THERE TO WASTE YOUR TALENT AWAY.

They keep telling me smart people go to UVA...

This is going to be great for the ACC.

This doesn't say smart people actually work for UVA though....

Working people don't go to UVA or commit to their football team when they decide to attend..

This is going to be great for the ACC.

Maybe the players just really want to go home early for Xmas?

@VTimHokie85

Obviously they are bringing him back next year, but when his team ends up next season with a similar record, what happens then? And if they can him, what how many players transfer? I think it's only a matter of time before these kids start to see the light and realize he is taking that program right where it belongs, at the bottom.

I'm not sure what anyone expected the UVA players to say.

If you go public and blast the head coach, how much playing time can you really expect to see next year?

Yeah, it's the same thing with "Coach Speak." You rarely hear coaches say the truth at press conferences. A terrible team is always said to have been "One or two plays from pulling ahead" or "Always plays a tough game." It's all PR garbage.

...and we let em off the hook.

There's always a lighthouse. There's always a man. There's always a city.

Depends if that HC is around next year (or not).
