Virginia Tech-81 Winthrop-63

And all of this without Emelogu and Smith, Winthrop is a team who's lone loss was at VCU by 21 and beat USC Upstate who beat the Hokies 64-63 as you all know. Next game is Sunday at Miami, who might be the worst team in the ACC if not the Hokies. Oh and almost forgot, Eddie had a career night with 34 points on 13-18 shooting.

Well, there may still be some positives in this season yet. Hopefully they'll just keep working and improving.

There's always a lighthouse. There's always a man. There's always a city.

its like we said at beginning of year, this team might surprise. we're not going to win too many ACC games, but we'll win a few, which is enough for me given the talent and experience level

This is huge considering two of our top three players were out. Glad to see Eddie sacked up and put tha team on his back doe.

Eddie was lights out tonight. Barksdale played well too. Ben should be back for Miami and Smith is possible too. Good win all things considered.

I know Eddie has always had the ability to be great, but why did he suck so much in the second half of last year? If he could have played half as well as he is now during ACC play with Erick Green we would have been a decent team.

Rip his freaking head off!

Because he's a human being and not a robot?

So you're telling me Sam Rogers is a robot? Speaking of our lord and savior, why isn't he on the basketball team?

Too expensive to replace the hardwood.

Because he was and is playing on bad knees. And he would always drift on jump shots. If you saw tonight, all his jumpers were straight up and down and no drifting.

Didn't know he has bad knees. He is shooting lights out this year. With his size and ball skills he can be scary on a fast break.

Rip his freaking head off!

Yeah, he had one of them scoped and stuff this summer. He was on crutches all summer right up until fall camp. He has had problems with both of them since he has got here.

Jarrell Eddie did his best Carmelo Anthony impersonation yesterday, and it was fantastic.
