Brewed yesterday. Enjoying the fruits of previous brewing today.

I went to bootleg bbq today in Floyd and it was really good πŸ˜ƒ

No it isn't it's the fifth of July

That is so yesterday.

This is going to be great for the ACC.

for 4th, some friends threw a social distanced housewarming party -- i brought the smoker and did a brisket, some chicken drums (incl. some bacon wrapped), and bacon wrapped jalapeno poppers. Another friend made pulled pork and cole slaw, and the hosts made mac and cheese.

I put all of the above (minus chicken drum) on a bun with a smidge of sweet baby rays and called it a Freedom Sandwich and it was delicious.

I tried something new.
8 snap beans.
Wrap in thick cut bacon.
Set on the side of a hot grill to render fat while other meat were cooking.
When other meat was resting after cooking, I put each wrap over the heat to crisp the bacon, turning frequently.

I was informed that I must do that again.

This is going to be great for the ACC.

Hmmm - may have to try this. We just finished slicing the home cured bacon. Now do we use the

  • Spicy Cure w/ Black Pepper, Crushed Red Pepper Rub on Hickory
  • Savory Cure w/ Pastrami Rub
  • Sweet Cure w/ Brown Sugar Rub on Apple

I told him I’d crawl on my hands and knees to be the DL coach at Virginia Tech. Now, all of a sudden, I’m sitting in this chair and I told him I’d still crawl on my hands and knees to work here. I just want to be here.
