NFL games are a different gene pool, and then there's Raider's fans. I live in Oakland, they are a culture all their own and proud to uphold a legacy of "THE BLACK HOLE". This video sums it up nicely, and they root for the same team.

I can't help but read this article and think it reflects more on the culture of that fan base and institution rather than on Butch Jones.
If an article like this with anonymous sources came out about VT I would be embarrassed and feel bad for the coaching staff being pulled into this hollow gossip.

Fuente had a good stock of talent to work with in a recruiting hot-bed. I grew up in Boulder, Colorado: not exactly brimming with 4* talent, let alone 3*.
Blacksburg loves football. Boulder finds it barbaric and even voted to not allow University funds to go to sports. It's donor base is paltry.
Not to take anything away from Fuente, I think he's done an amazing job in just year one, but what Macintyre did is nothing short of magic.
