I get what you're saying and I agree, but if we recruited a bunch of soft players who don't want to win, play hard, or be leaders, whose fault is that?

I have been thinking this all week. Our players really looked despondent against miami.... Coaches coach the players sure... But at some point the players have to realize that it's their team at the end of the day. They decide what their legacy will be at Tech. We had 10 win seasons with more vanilla game plans... Those guys played their nuts off and had fun doing it.

This week would probably be a good week for the seniors to call a "players only" meeting and have a call to arms. Stand up and play angry, passionate, with heart!

I just remember when we beat #7 WVU in Blacksburg.... WVU punted and as our guy was catching the ball, WVU player speared him right in the chin... I mean just drilled him super dirty. The refs threw a flag, and Rich Rod was out there congratulating his player.
During those years he was there, WVU always played dirty. Nasty cheap shots, trying to twist Vick's ankle in the piles, it was more than just the fans. I really don't want that at VT.

Looking forward to seeing a lot of these green quotes on "This week in schadenfreude".

As bad as these loses have been, it seems like we have always won and lost games by a narrow margin and ugly football. Sorta like the Seahawks, this years Broncos or vintage Ravens. With a bad offensive showing today (Give the Narduzzi credit) we really were just one good linebacker away from winning that game. You could say that about ECU and most of last years losses as well.
Our ten win seasons had one common thread: barely any injuries. I mean Goforth had those guys iron clad. These last two years have been crazy with injuries and even worse with personnel decisions to replace obvious starters.
There is a bizarre breakdown between position coaches picking their starters and co-ordinators building a game plan that is not personnel specific. All those coaches are not working as a team, just operating independently of one another.
Very curious to see if this adversity binds the Hokies together or rips it all apart.

Wow, 256 yards, 3 TD's (including one to tie the game in the final minute) and an INT... If this is Last Legs I'd say it still could be a good season for the broncos.

I think a lot of the hiccups are due to Peyton trying to work within the Kubiak offense and a completely new offensive line.
