4-1 when game day is in town...just sayin'

Yeah its the 30L. From reviews that I've read, the extra space eliminates the need for a blow off tube. Just pitched my yeast for my Tripel at about 9pm last night, nothing happening yet, but we should be seeing activity soon.
First reactions to the Speidel, I was shocked at how light it was, with the 5 gal batch in it (used to the 6.5 gal glass carboy).
Minor complaints: I like to be able to see whats happening in there. Can't with this.
Bung has to be dry when putting the airlock in, otherwise it pushes right out
Without a thermowell, guessing the temp is pretty much a shot in the dark on this. I've got a fermomter on the side of it, but dont know how accurate the reading will be through that plastic.
Overall, still pleased with the purchase. I think it will really show its value come bottle/keg time. No more siphoning!
i think it would look something like this:

I think a lot of the fan base might get over confident, but I trust that the coaches will keep our guys level and they will be just as prepared as they would have without the suspensions.
Personally, I was probably already over confident prior to the suspensions, lol
The dance was in response to the comments on last years game. But I definitely agree, moving forward and not celebrating too hard until after we win.
if I worked there, I would leave every day with a headache. The lighting on set is harsh!

Urbs needs some comforting. Eat your pain away Urban, eat it gone!

i was excited when I first heard about this, then upon realizing it is just in the club seats, realized a will never drink legally in Lane Stadium

Still great news for VT though
What he said.
Chip's is great, I live about a mile from it, and frequent the place. Great selection, and a tasting room, where you can try out some drinks while you shop.
Trio is pretty good too, but IMO, Chip's is better as far as selection of bottles/cans. Trio does have a better tap setup though. +1 on avoiding weeping radish. their Black Radish is okay, the rest are not so good. Outer Banks Brewing Station has some really good brews, and I believe will do growlers for you also. If you make it over to Manteo, check out Full Moon Cafe and Brewery.
Will do, I've got ingredients for a Belgian Tripel coming in tomorrow, hopefully will be brewing this weekend. So far, without having used it yet, my only two issues are 1) I like to be able to see whats happening in there 2) looks like I'm going to have to add a thermowell to it to monitor temps
Cheers, 757er born and raised. Now a 252er
Just upgraded my fermenter. Should be getting delivered monday or tuesday. Now need to get a recipe working

Don't forget Sunken City Brewery in Hardy VA, picked up their Red Clay IPA a while back, pretty tasty
edit: nevermind, somehow I missed it in your list on my first read. Red Clay IPA is still very good though
Pitt and BC. No matter how bad they may look, they always make me nervous
Hmm...after entering my location it placed me in the water. Guess I wasn't specific enough
BUT, more commercial breaks=more chances to get a beer or take a leak without missing any action
that was one of my last games as a student, place was rocking for sure. my buddies and I had student season tickets in the second row on the sideline across form the visitor bench....made for an awesome season for us
1. Free throws - 4 for 14 is just flat out unacceptable.
2. Not blaming the refs, but they certainly didn't help there in the last 2 minutes
3. We seem to be incapable of finishing a game strong
4. Free Cadarian Raines! JJ is doing a huge disservice to the team keeping him on the bench.
5. Too many 3 attempts, work the ball inside more

If we lose Grimes, I will talk to Tony Washington, Todd's dad, who I have worked with a few times over the years....and get him to get Todd back to Blacksburg! :D

Yeah, I meant the airlock/bung together, the bung pushes right out of the hole in the lid.
Probably no room for a thermowell in the bung, but I think I can rig something up in the plastic lid.
For the first time in 9 years of brewing I have a stuck fermentation. Ugh. Went hard for 2 days, then all activity stopped. Will be getting new yeast and making a new starter for it this week.
