I had more disdain for WVU than any other team, including the brie-eating, Zima-chugging bankster scum in C-ville. And I believe their fans hated us more than Pitt, moreso than they'd care to admit. The Miracle in Morgantown is probably most Hokie fans' fondest memory. I don't think there's a bigger rivalry on the "hatred scale" than VT/WVU from 1998-2005, especially if you were a student in that timeframe. The hate was real.
I hated seeing WVU's emergence as a national "power" after we left the Big Least because we ALL KNEW they were only good because we weren't around to beat the shit out of them anymore. I loved watching them lose to Pitt in 2007.
