Yea my hypothesis that there's never more than 20ish QBs (in most seasons, including this one, it's half that) who are actually 'good'. After that, the next 50-75 are basically interchangeable, and will perform as well as their surrounding talent and scheme can be.
I think the talent and coaching on our team is so mid that adding a heisman candidate QB wouldn't elevate our team that much.
I think Drones would easily be a top 20 QB if Dan Mullen was calling plays with a mildly improved OL

I'm not interested in him at all because he killed a kid.
I'm not as concerned about the two potential targeting calls. Refs are trained to throw the flag if it's close and let the booth review the video. Both were called back, so I'm okay with that. FAM!

Plus, other suits have been successful against the NCAA. Shark don't go after the fastest and fittest. They pick at the wounded to get their bit. It's an "excuse me, while you have your checkbook open..." partially.
I don't want Brian Kelly killing anything or anyone at VT.
Sellers told The State that they had not sued SC State because they felt that the NCAA was ultimately responsible for Geathers' suffering.
" [The NCAA] had information from these experts," Sellers said. "They didn't provide that information to the schools."
This is bullshit as is the ruling that the NCAA never disclosed as the NCAA published a medical handbook in 1933 that warned that multiple concussions were thought to be the cause of punch drunk syndrome. The lawyers skirted that by instead alleging that the NCAA was at fault by
by failing to put forward or enforce any rules that would have protected him from concussions.
I also wonder if the player was told the risks by coaches and doctors back then but if they are no longer alive to contradict the claim he was never told.
The guy was drafted into the NFL but never played as the Bills put him on injured reserve for several years....yet the NFL wasnt sued either in this case.
He is the father of three former NFL players including Defensive End Robert Geathers Jr, who played 11 seasons for the Bengals after starring at Georgia. Clifton (Dolphins/Cowboys/Colts/Redskins/Eagles) and Kwame (Chargers/Bengals) also made it to the NFL. Robert Geathers 3rd is a 3* Safety in the Class of 2027. Geathers brother was also in the NFL and his son's both played college football.
Pretty clear the family has not worried about continuing to use football as a way to earn a living.
3-3, Damn Stanford. I thought they could hope Miami under 30.5 point spread.
I was thrilled when they signed him because he's a Hokie, and have been even more happy at how well he's playing. Sucks that he went on IR, but he's on a three year deal, so he'll be a Falcon for a while.
Turkey happy to be spared the L, but looks ahead at the rest of the season FAM!

I will never not leg this gif.

Nothing like an epically bad performance in front of the ACC commissioner. Then again, he might have been the one to give them the instructions to favor Cal.
Lawyers always go for the biggest bag. (In other words, "Because that's where the money is.")
So they sue the wealthiest, not the most responsible.
First, I think they can get it through public disclosures.
Second, if they were to initiate litigation against Franklin, they would certainly be entitled to a copy of it through discovery.
Third, if PSU wants to dispute Franklin's new contract, it'd be in everyone's best interest to try to settle the matter out of court, and I'd expect Franklin's new school to freely offer up a copy of Franklin's contract as a means of trying to put the matter to bed quickly.
Pretty sure I tried this line in college...
I can tolerate some amount of douchebaggery from my HC if he's winning. But Kelly is just on another level. The way he lights into players on the sideline goes too far.

Why was this suit against the NCAA and not SC St.?
One other question I have is does Penn State have a legal right to a copy of his contract if we were to hire him? Seems like sharing that with them would violate Virginia Tech's rights if the contract is not required to be published by the State of Virginia laws.
