Now the Program is quite honestly near the absolute bottom of the P4 and raising a serious money is going to be hugely difficult.
I didn't save my picks earlier this week and only checked just after the 3:30 games kicked off. Still managed 1-1 and based on what I'd picked, I would have only gone 2-4 anyway.

Left our VRBO in maine at 9:30 this morning thinking I'd be home to watch. Rolled in at 11 pm after an awful drive back and found a nice coating of standing water on the bathroom floor in our apartment with maintenance promising to look at it tomorrow.

I'm not going to feel sorry for Frank. He did great things for VT, but honestly he was part of the problem and helped lead us to where we are now. Complacent, stagnant, and stayed on too long at the end. He never adjusted, and then holdover guys like Ballein staying on and trying to influence doing things like the old days constantly. It's a problem.
The Beamers have moved on, but VT just can't. It's time to rip the bandaid off and go soul searching for this program.
Sorry to say but you're a sucker if you're donating more money to this program. The people managing your money don't know what they're doing with it. No wonder fans aren't increasing their investment after 15 years of negative returns.
With each passing year, as we're left further and further in the dust, it becomes more and more evident how badly we squandered our fundraising opportunity in the 2000s. Now we want to swallow our pride and ask for money — after getting swept in home & homes with Rutgers, Purdue, and Vanderbilt, a who's who of P5 bottom feeders. We were too bashful to ask for money as an annual national championship contender beating the shit out of teams like Texas, LSU, and Miami, but now that we've regressed to the Northwestern of the ACC, it's time to fundraise.
Totally agree. That's a way better way to spend his retirement. But you know he's aware of what's going on Blacksburg.
