Yeah, there was zero point zero chance to keep Kenny. Clara Strack was appearing in national Marriott commercials this spring, a hot year after she was trying to replace Liz Kitley on the fly during the ACCT and NCAAs. That's the kind of NIL opportunity he can recruit with at UK, and it's the kind of opportunity he was going to have to recruit against here.
Buzz was never, ever going to stay, and everyone who knew anything went in with eyes wide open on that front. Kenny might have stayed longer if the universe hadn't completely changed. It did, though, and now we're screwed.

LOL, turned the game off at half time to catch up on some sleep. Told my wife it was gonna be a rough 2nd b.c Vandy had them figured out by the end of the 2nd quarter -- they can't stop the run on D, and can't complete a pass when blitzed. They're gonna get crushed and I don't want to watch the rest.

Hard disagree on Kenny. We did not match Kentucky in anything but base salary. They offered him more staff, more NIL funding, better basketball facilities and the opportunity to go head to head with two or three of his top peers every year between South Carolina, LSU and Texas. Stealing players and other coaches is now the norm, just look at Indiana football last year or Colorado the year before. Was Brooks a douchecanoe for not thanking the fan base for supporting him? Absolutely.
So it means the opposite?

I lasted until 37-20, and turned off the game thinking it was over, and that was the final score, until I watched the condensed game today.
Then, today, while watching the condensed game, I found out it got even worse. Luckily, I was numb after watching the game in condensed form. Not comfortably, though.
To be fair, we usually play a cupcake (like everyone else) for the home opener.
I may just stick to high school football for the rest of the year. My reigning state champ BHS Indians are 2-0 and on a 16 game winning streak. Way more fun to watch than what I witnessed last night.

The one that was completely inexcusable for me was when the game was still somewhat close, we had 4th and 10 deep in our own territory and he throws a 4 yard out pattern in blanket coverage. That has no hope of being successful, you're better off throwing deep and praying for a miracle.

Pay Bruce Arians to find a competent General Manager and then let them decide who else stays in Merryman. Then have the GM lead the coaching search. Segregate out the AD completely from the process. Let the AD worry about 1) finding money 2) other sports (primarily basketball and wrestling)
