I tried to give soccer a chance in March of 2024 when I attended my first Charlotte FC match. There were 3 or 4 moments of real action, and several ticky tacky calls by the officials. So overall it was boring, annoying, and the whole "stoppage time" thing where they tack on about how much time ran off the clock during stoppages during the 90 minute game is infuriating to someone like me.

But if we were to ever win a natty in soccer, I'm telling every SEC fan I meet that we have a natty in football.

We need to use this to get between his ears. Twitter, Game Day signs, stadium signs (is that still allowed?), chirps from the stands and field.

I'll be there-planning on arriving 6am or earlier...despite the night time kickoff. Did it last year for several games and beat the Corp guys that monitor the entrance there lol.

NOT fair catching when they should

That's literally been Tucker Holloway's MO since he got on punt return and I shit my pants every time he does it. He does make some magic happen occasionally but he's going to get destroyed back there one time and its going to be bad.

He's had good kickers and punters but the gaffes have been repeated and inexcusable.

It's not the kickers themselves that are the problem, it's the rest of the special teams folks...lining up wrong, dual #s, not staying in their lanes, fair catching when they shouldn't, NOT fair catching when they should, letting balls bounce in front of them, running a kickoff out of the end zone and getting tackled on the 10-15 yd line instead of taking the fair catch and getting the ball on the 25...

Now some of those are poor coaching decisions and others might be player related or a combo of both...but if I were coaching and I told them to fair ca5tch and they consistently ignored those instructions, I'd be finding a new kick returner...

I'm ready for us to play above our ability for once and kick the shit out of somebody we're not expected to. We're not a great team but neither is Vandy. Pavia is a known quantity and we need to take away what makes him successful. We need this win and we can get it.

Who's going to the game? Anything happening in Lot 18?

Yep, 'twould be a hoot. I would then be forced to learn all the rules and try to get excited about ties and one score games. I do keep up with how both teams are doing, but still not interested in the game unless it's on tv and against someone I dislike. Who knows, they might bring me around yet.

Wouldn't it be fun if after all the angst (rightfully so) about football, we won a national championship in soccer?

Looking at this schedule I would expect us favored in more road games than home games. That's a BRUTAL home slate. Only road games that are top opponents are Notre Dame, FSU and maybe Louisville.

This was my first look as well - I finally moved back to the east coast (cary/apex) from Texas and we stop playing in the triangle

Between this and your above comment, I would really like some of what you're drinking / brewing.

Though I am pretty confident Vandy won't move the ball very well on Saturday too, just not to the point of negative yards

Nick Saban also might have worked out if the dolphins didn't flub the drew Brees situation and Chip Kelly the GM got Chip Kelly the coach fired

KState QB's brother and dad got into a dustup WITH EACHOTHER after the game... absolutely hilarious.

However, can't really call them white trash since the dad isn't white.

There was also Steve Spurrier, but his bigger problem was that he had to work with Dan Snyder, so I'm not sure it was a fair test of the college-to-NFL theory.

That is crazy. Can't believe we get Duke, UNC and NC State at home but don't travel to them. We live in WS, so we'll definitely represent at the Wake game
