This is what is great about in and out- 4 things on the menu plus drinks.... simple.
as someone who only goes to chic-fil-a a couple times a year, at most, I am absolutely one of the mouth breathers that looks at the menu to figure out what I want
the last chic-fil-a I went to had a drive-thru with workers holding Ipads to take your order - I am not familiar with chic-fil-a's offerings so I asked the guy for a menu and he had to go borrow one from someone else because he didn't have one handy.
Overall, my experience was fine - I have no complaints - I just found it odd that they didn't have a menu posted at the drive-thru - they just expect that everyone coming knows exactly what they have to offer.
Throw arrows at me now, but IMO I saw his BEST band in Roanoke- the no more tears band- Randy Castillo, Zak Wylde, Mike Inez... that band was his best IMO. Yes Randy Rhodes and Geezer Butler make a case, but. Either way fortunate to see Ozzy several times live.
Right - starting with overseeing a roster that had one fucking safety/OLB on it that could actually tackle... so when that kid gets pulled over with weed, you fucking defense sucks ass. Look at the root cause.. one good safety/olb on the roster.
In my experience, Chik FilA has BY FAR the best fast food service I've ever gotten. I can't remember when its ever been slow or my order was messed up. I missed a tee time in myrtle beach because Hardees took 20 mins to microwave a hot ham and cheese. I have seen 10 people be asked to "pull up" at a mcdonalds in grand junction CO. I have seen many other bullshit things. Never at chik fil A that I could ever recall.
I think it would have been a lot better for everyone if he had been fired after the 2019 season. Or, at least told that he had to replace Cornelsen or find another job himself.
I think there's a reasonable chance that if he'd left Tech in some way in 2019 he'd still be coaching today. There's no guarantee that we'd be any better or worse if that had happened since Whit seems to struggle with making football coaching hires but who knows
I just think that keeping Fuente around for another few years was detrimental to both him and VT
1000% this
Right? The only problem I've ever had with a Chick-Fil-A order was when I was given the bag for another person with the same first name, last initial, and similar vehicle.
Then again, I almost always use the app, so I can drive around the mouth-breathers that are staring at the menu wondering what they want today.
He should've at least signaled that a throw was incoming, which would've kept him from easing up.
Been racking my brain about this, and I think that Black Sabbath's Live Evil (post-Ozzy, I know, but relevant) was the first cassette tape I bought after getting a stereo system with a cassette player for my birthday in December 1982. I remember the setting, it was at Turtle's Records and Tapes, and I saw the cover art under the glass counter, and decided I wanted that one. Black Sabbath never really stuck with me, but for a few songs, but I remember hearing Crazy Train for the first time later, off a friend's boombox, and was intrigued by how they bounced the audio back and forth between the left and right speakers. I'd have to say that Ozzy's solo work was my initial inspiration for my love of hard rock and metal.
To our parents, Ozzy Osbourne was the epitome of everything that was wrong with then-contemporary music, but to a Gen X kid, Ozzy just rocked. Hard. He was the Prince of Darkness. The Godfather of Metal. And regardless of what you felt about him personally, or his antics on stage (whether real or just rumored), his music was just badass.
RIP, John Michael "Ozzy" Osbourne. You'll be missed, but your legacy will live on.

Alpaca Chicken slaps
Oh do tell
Speyer, Germany, way back in '71 or '72 when I was in the army. The evening's music was rained on heavily, and everybody was in their tents and the lights were out. Then, at the stroke of midnight, the opening chords boomed out impossibly loud and then "I am Iron Man" began. It was like a call to the zombies as we all woke up and headed for the stage in various stages of waking and clothing. Wow, what a night to top off the best outdoor concert of my life. There were tons of stars and stars to be that weekend, but the only actual memory of the music was Black Sabbath, though not my fave rave, definitely the most memorable.
What's your order/location. I'll ask my wife to pull numbers on that location lol
Nope, no lines and takes 9 minutes. Its over 90 seconds just ordering while mcdonalds is done in under 30. They screw up the drink half the time. They cant even get my name right so I have to go by Ben or I waste more time spelling my name, which is stupid to ask for a name when I'm the only one there and my receipt just says gray sedan anyways. They are so inefficient that they need a long line to hide their inability to deliver food in a correct and timely manner.
I order the same thing at each place too.
That's some catch, that Catch 22.
Yeah, I was wondering if it was in jest.
The one by us is efficient and fast and has a long drive thru line that moves quickly.
Perhaps his local one sucks.
He could be one of those OC that isn't expected to recruit. If I were a fan of another team and Fuente was announced as my OC, I'd be pretty jazzed.
Agree he was friendly. Not warm. Didn't have that magical way of making you feel special. But polite. Could hold a conversation.
when losing Mook Reyonolds kills your whole operation
I heard rumors shortly after Fuente was fired about how the whole Mook thing was handled... If I had heard those same stories in 2017 I would've been out on Fuente way earlier than I was.
Did VT break him? Maybe. Was it Covid (he seems pretty set on continuing to blame Covid, even half a decade later)? I don't know. But I genuinely believe that he just doesn't want to coach
I do think this is part of it... 2020 was grueling on and off the field for the football.
Then, instead of being swiftly put out of his misery, he hobbled back to VT as a lame duck coach in 2021... He was hated by the fanbase, knew that there were millions of dollars being raised for the next guy that he was unable to tap into.
I bet that two year period did a number on him and his family...
was forced out/left TCU because he couldn't manage the transfer portal & NIL stuff.
I'd go even earlier in the changing college football landscape... Peterson wanted to be a ball coach. Since the Saban-ization of college football, there's no room for being a 'ball coach' at the P4 level - you gotta be a CEO.
Or you go to the G5/6 level and be a ball coach, but that sounds miserable.
I am of the generation that knows Ozzy better from the TV show than his music. I remember when my parents told me he was a lead singer of a band and I was like "that guy sings? he can barely talk." Drugs are bad. RIP dude.
Finding my way back to campsite/tent after a day of drinking and tailgating sounds like an absolute nightmare.

Fast Casual- Capitalism for shit fast food we charge more for.
