I would recommend staying in some of the accommodations offered by the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation. They have the Williamsburg Inn and several other associated hotels, or even themed housing in one of the old colonial inn/taverns. Staying anywhere in Colonial Williamsburg gets you access to all the amenities at the Williamsburg Inn too which are really nice. It's nice to also be able to just wake up and walk from where you are staying and spend the whole day exploring Colonial Williamsburg.
Would also recommend Billsburg Brewery right off the marina there at Historic Jamestown. There's the Jamestown Settlement recreation run by the state right there, and then if you want to see the actual Jamestown Island it's just down the road there. A non-profit group is actively excavating and doing archeological digs there and have restored the palisades on the original site of the fort. Pretty cool stuff if you want to see the real deal. Would also hop on the Colonial Parkway and cruise around some too between Jamestown, Williamsburg, and Yorktown.

With last year's England trip, a smaller budge trip is needed this year.
We're planning on heading to Williamsburg for a week or so. Not sure what all we are going to do there yet, hoping to avoid Busch Gardens. Gonna do colonial williamsburg, yorktown, jamestown stuff. Hit a couple breweries. What are some other suggestions you all might have?
my critique is less about the course than the decision to re-start when they did. I know there was a lot of pressure to finish on Sun, but at a lesser tournament, I think they might have waited or bit the bullet and restarted Mon a.m. That course needed a couple more hours to dry out.
But congrats again to Spaun for gutting it out better than everyone else. He'll be remembered for the closeout putt (that he didn't have to make) but his tee shot at 17 won it for him.

the way American politics is currently structured, though, it takes a certain type of individual to make it and that type of individual is often sick and twisted in some form. Are they all covering up heinous crimes? Probably not all of them, no. But I'd wager a good portion of them have done horrendous things, or turned a blind eye to horrendous things, that we commonfolk can't even (or don't want to) imagine. Another trend I've noticed, often times when a politician accuses their political opponents of something awful, a lot of the times they themselves are guilty of said accusation. It's weird but it happens with more frequency than you'd think. I guess in a way they recognize that what they're doing is wrong or unsavory but because they are in a weird bubble where it seems pretty common they probably assume that if they're guilty of it so is their opponent.

Split is a cool town to walk around, at least the Diocletian Palace section. Don't know if it's still there, but had a great dinner at Konoba Matoni.
Klis Fortress is a fun half-day trip. Cool site even if you're not into Game of Thrones.
If you ARE into GoT settings, Sibenik and Trogir can be a single long day trip.

John Thompson wanted to beat Beoheim again so he got Iverson literally out of federal prison.
Easy. Iverson wasn't in federal prison, just a state correctional facility. He was granted clemency by the Governor. And his conviction was later overturned on grounds of insufficient evidence.
Dean Smith was in Rasheed Wallace's living room the day after he won a National Title against Michigan. He wanted Sheed! He retired because he was getting older and felt he couldn't coach/offer up what he could when he was younger.
He got the no-no. Highlights below.
For reference, these are essentially the national semifinals, although double-elimination. Coastal Carolina and LSU are the ones from the winners' brackets, so Louisville and Arkansas have to win today to stay in the mix.
Note: Although coming from the loser's bracket, Arkansas was the highest-seeded team in this year's CWS, and is therefore the highest seed remaining

They renovated Oakmont over the past few years. They have a strain of poa annua that's re-wired itself to be a shorter stem and smaller flower. This means they are able to get it really short without killing it, like at Shinnecock. Oakmont will 99.99% always have THE fastest greens anywhere because of this, and it will stay green and alive. Saturday at the Open, they quad cut AND rolled the greens. Sort of had to after the 1" of rain to just keep the green speeds consistent with the previous 2 days.
It was a solid open layout. The Pro, the board, the USGA, wants par to win at Oakmont. That's their target. And given the greens and layout, I don't have a problem with it. There was very little complaining about the "newly reno'd" Oakmont outside of maybe the fairway on 12 that kicked too many balls that hit the short grass into the lettuce. Otherwise, they took their medicine and played golf. Love that they are on an 8-year cycle here now.

Yeah, in general, if you can move water from the surface or "splash" with a normal step, you should be entitled to relief. The vid I saw, he should have gotten relief. Not sure why the rules officials lately have gotten tight with everything (I'm still scratching my head over the Rickie ruling when he was standing on the path but TWO rules officials said it was unreasonable for him to hit the shot anyway so denied him a drop.) But, some curious ones lately. And I'm sure I can move more water around than Harman, but that's to my advantage. ;). Fully believe they go it wrong in this case. However, it didn't cost him the Open.
Also, I'd say in general, if he called over Adam Scott and said "I'm taking relief and splashed a bit with his foot, Adam wouldn't have blinked an eye and he could have dropped without recourse. The fact that he questioned it allowed for the rules official to deny it when it clearly was worthy of relief...Knowing and implementing the rules are 2 different things.
Maybe I'm a bit optimistic, but I don't think most of those skeletons rise to the level of covering up systematic rape/abuse of teenagers.
