Another weekend of competition this weekend.

Several sprinters are at the Red River Invite at Texas Tech.

-Cay Bobb won her heat in the 200m with a time of 23.95 which was good for 7th overall and the 9th best time in school history.
-Strong showing for the Hokies in the mens 200m. JLIV takes 2nd overall with a time of 20.70. Kahleje Tillmon was 4th with a time of 21.03. Ali Diaby was 9th with a time of 21.26 and Tomas Kersulis was 13th with a time of 21.66.
-Maximus James won his heat in the 400m with a time of 48.93 which was good for 10th overall.
-Mens 4x400 relay takes the win over USC (west) by 0.01! I'm hoping a video is posted somewhere because I would like to see it. This tell me the guys could make some noise in the 4x4 come championship time. The foursome was JLIV, Kersulis, Tillmon and Diaby and their time was 3:03.99.

VT is also hosting the Hokie Invitational in Rector today and tomorrow.

1 Mile
-Mary Kate McGranahan finished 10th with a PB of 4:58.72.
-Kylie Bonser was 13th.

DMR
-The B team finished 3rd and the A team had a DNF. Results don't show who was representing the Hokies.

Long Jump
-Willa Hock finished 15th with a PB of 17' 5-1/4".

Men
1 Mile
-Ryan Chevalier finished 6th with a time of 4:10.04.

I'll post additional results as they finish.

You know how it goes on TKP: 2/3rds of the comments will hate the pick and say our program is doomed. Another 2/3rds will love the pick and start predicting 10 win seasons. And the final 2/3rds will just be arguing about cake or mayonnaise or whether QBs and TEs are basically the same position.

At this point, I have to imagine Pry is sitting at his desk, staring at a ham sandwich wondering, "if I leave that out in the sun long enough, will it develop rudimentary intelligence so I can hire it?"

PSU reportedly offering a large package for Knowles to steal him away from their intraconference rivals. PSU fans at least have something to salivate over. VT fans just staring at the sun with no shades on, wondering why it burns.

I still think he stays at OSU with a bigger paycheck, but we'll see.

0.5 equals about 10 minutes walking, which is the max time the average person is willing to walk from point A to B. For reasons you stated, campus is marginally walkable by that metric which I think tracks with most of our experiences there. For example walking from the academic side to McComas vs. taking a bus from Burruss to McComas. Not a perfect or exact measurement, but it usually tracks.

We (planners) use this measurement, along with other walkability metrics, to locate transit stops as well as housing and businesses.

I read through the entire original thread for the first time today. Took me 3 hours. AND FOR WHAT??? FOR A NEW THREAD TO APPEAR??? pfff

the fact that we're now on thread 2 without an announcement scares the absolute sh*t out of me about the state of the program, Pry's ability to find the right person, and Whit's ability to pay said person. WTF is going on???

~500 comments with over 2/3rds of the comments complaining about the choice is my bold prediction. Parlay that with the 2/3rds of complaints coming from <1/3rd of the individual commenters.

To be fair (to be fair), this is more of a "No DC" thread than a "DC" thread.

If and when they finally announced one, who thinks it will reach 1k posts, too?

Can someone post a table in this thread with the potential candidates (I.e. Chris Marve, Donald Duck, Horse on a Treadmill, Gritty, etc.) even the ones that have passed on us?

I got way behind on the last thread and there was no way I was going to catch up, so I'm happy to see a new one.

Not so happy that we need a 2nd thread because we still haven't hired a DC, though...

The old thread wouldn't even show me new comments first when I clicked on the option any longer. Thanks for starting a new one.
