Why don't they just make an extra post conference tournament game for every team that does not make a bowl so they can have extra practices and have each on a different day when there are no bowls for extra TV revenue? Makes more sense than this stupid idea.

Well for someone that reported said they didn't like Tech or Blacksburg she put out a very nice farewell message. Which was a lot better than a former coach did.
I talked to my message board connected Oh St. friends and they thought it would be strange for Walton to make this move since he is an OSU alum and he's been around the blocks a few times and settled into his current role. Also said there have been no rumors on the boards of him leaving.

You say that, but nobody else forced him to fire Galt. He made these choices. Plus, if someone was forcing coaches to fire people, or presumably get fired instead, Corny would have been gone a year or two before Fuente, or Fuente's firing would have happened earlier because he didn't let Corny go. Pry wasn't forced to do anything.
I get the goal here... the ACC needs more revenue, and they're trying to find creative ways to game the system to maximize playoff bids.
I feel for Phillips - he's stuck - ACC teams want/need an extra $20m/year to reliably compete with the SEC/B10, but there's no get rich quick schemes out there.

Fisher had signed an extension through 2024 with Florida State in December 2016 that gave him a base salary of $5.5 million. His buyout from Florida State is the sum remaining on the contracts of his assistants who are not retained, which would be in the range of $5 million to $7 million.

That's not even a stupid idea, unlike the two ideas floated in the article. At the very least, you'd give all the first-place teams at least a chance to be selected, and you'd be reducing the number of potential losses for the top teams.
By the way, this is exactly how the Big East worked when we were a member, IIRC. There were potentially co-Big East champs, I believe.
