Player size of both teams was huge compared to tech. Psu just didn't stick their foot on the neck of notre dame. The difference in d tackle run stopping for penn state was significant.
One of Penn state's tackles almost single handedly controlled notre dame's line. When he was not in, notre dame ran the ball effectively.

Jack Nicholson was the best campy cartoony Joker.

Joaquin Phoenix is neither.
I won't fight you on it. It could be argued that Nicholson and Ledger are 1a and 1b (in either order) - they both captured the essence of the character in very different ways - they had different directors and the films had different feels to them as they were filmed in different eras.

I agree on this. For a long time I thought Jack Nicholson was the best and only Joker. Then Heath Ledger happened and changed my mind.
I still think Gene Wilder is the best and only Wonka. Depp fell short of that mark IMO but I supposed there's still a chance someone could come along and do one better than Wilder. I doubt it though. I also doubted anyone would ever top Nicholson's Joker and it happened so....never say never, I guess.
Right and they got countless guys we desperately wanted that actually did contribute.

Damn- I wasn't PLANNING on crying this Friday morning ... but here we are. Even the relatively simple adoptions can require a tortuous path. My wife had a 2.5 yr old son rom a previous relationship when we got married. Even with her being the birth mother, it took 6 months or me to adopt him as we had to mail the papers to the birth fathers LKA and post a public notice in the newspaper in that city for a month on the 1 in a billion chance he would want to block the adoption and fight or custody. He DIDN'T thank goodness and we completed it after the that waiting period. Prayers with your family that you can get through the red tape/bureaucracy and bring that baby into your loving home.
(and the crying was fine- it continued the tears from yesterday evening when I learned one of my pool league teammates died Wednesday from complications of pneumonia. He was only about 55 years old! Quite a shock and a reminder how we are never promised tomorrow. The one consolation is my last memory of hi was playing pool with him at his sister's birthday gathering on Dec 28.(she is our team captain, he was on the team as is her sister, mother, and-in previous years her other brother and her husband). I feel the most sadness for the elderly parents-no death is easy but NO ONE should have to bury a child even an adult one.)

Part of me is happy for these guys, and glad that they represent VT well. Part of me looks at these games and thinks, "But they didn't want to play in a bowl game because they have to prepare for the NFL?"
