A better method might be to add time (7 seconds?) to the play clock (game clock keeps running as normal) to prevent the defense from gaming the substitution to get a delay of game.

So what if the offense subs out an extra lineman for a speedy receiver with 7 seconds to go the defense shouldn't be able to match that? Yes the defense should be able to sub but there should be a limit on how long that process can take.
It's nice to put ACC there but we get $0 from ND making it while the other teams split with their conference.

My uncle, who passed away last month, was a big Notre Dame fan. Also a VT fan.
He got to see VT play Notre Dame four times. All after this deal with the ACC.
Yes, it's a sweetheart deal for Notre Dame, but how atrocious would the network deal have been WITHOUT Notre Dame games?
Playing Notre Dame has value.

I'd agree that Notre Dame got the better end of it than the ACC, but not that it has no value for the ACC. VT got a quality opponent for a good number of games. Sometimes VT has had trouble scheduling these, and certainly wouldn't get more than a one and one ten years from now. (I'll refer you to VT's Wisconsin series). I'd much rather see VT play Notre Dame than Maryland or East Carolina.
Well, there's a lot of good, coachable moments related to all of the turnovers. No one else is going to be as tenacious as FSU in that regard, but CMD can use the loss to make us better.
