Yeah I mean the argument Saban tried to pull on Bama being left out was it disincentivizes scheduling a strong non conference schedule. Lmao ok who did bama challenge themselves with in the non conference? Strong non conference can give you a buffer for not winning your conference, and winning your conference gives you a buffer for not having a strong non conference schedule. Bama had neither a strong non conference slate and didn't win the SEC - had three losses. UGA Texas and Tennessee all had fewer losses.

Side note Oregon already has 3 wins against playoff teams (PSU, OSU, Boise) and UGA has 4 (Tennessee, Clemson, Texas x 2).

The garbage BS E$ecPN is still spouting out about not valuing strength of schedule is such nonsense. Bama lost to TWO 6-6 team. They didn't lose to two 11-1 teams. SOS has nothing to do with losing to TWO middle of the road teams.

Good for SMU. Happy to see the field they chose but seriously I wish they would have paired up PSU and Indiana in the first round so that at least one Big Ten team was guaranteed to lose. PSU has SMU and Boise SMDH.

Tennessee going to Columbus shouldn't be too bad from a travel or a weather standpoint. SMU might have it a little rough weather wise up here but its been mild for the past few winters.

Wanting to see Clemson beat Tx because it would be hilarious. Also go ND!

Almost like forming television conglomerates with non balanced schedules instead of true conferences can hurt teams that would be in otherwise.

Texas in the B12 means Bama is in.

Charlotte has a large number of WVU fans and it's easy to get to for many VT fans, it's just makes sense

EDIT: I meant in thr larger sense that this never happens the bowl selection have been terrible for years in getting interesting match ups. I did know WVU already accepted

Yeah, if we don't quit picking on them, they'll deconstruct their whole super conference to make easier schedules for themselves.

Go right ahead, Nick.

Obviously, best case scenario for the ACC. More teams = more cash for us.
