Oh is Brad fired? I didn't realize!
I know someone that is around 70-ish in terms of donor ranking and even they weren't able to get one of those RV spots. They go very high & very quickly in the experience of the people I know.
Unfortunately I do not know what kind of donation amount being #70 entails. They have been long time donors with some big gifts in the past, so playing catch up to that in one donation is complicated (and probably very expensive).
Then they can complain all they want, but the school covered their bases.
This confirms my theory that some people care way too much about things
UNC hires:
Willie Taggart -- HC
Brad Cornelson-- OC
Marve -- DC....
They may have to drop to FCS after that.
But here's a guy that needs a job...Scott Frost.
I know he was really bad @ Neb, but he's got the kind of name recognition that UNC might find appealing

Why are people downvoting an opinion, which is clearly half-joking and half what a lot of us must be feeling is a very plausible outcome? Well, at least the winning at Lane for the first time in ages part. Maybe not the rest of it.
FWIW, I do think we will win the game. Of course, I thought:
(1) We would go 8-4
(2) If we did not go 8-4, 9-3 was more likely than 7-5 ... and way more likely than 6-6 or 5-7
(3) We would beat Duke.
So what do it know?

Dang! Not Coach Abell! Davidson is less than 15 minutes from my house. They're my favorite FCS team!
Sounds to me like another toothless governing body that can't keep order. Sounds familiar, NCAA?
I hate to defend Hokie Club, but the person answering the phone nor anyone can really answer that. The lowest level you are eligible is Golden Hokie. Theoretically every space could be taken by the top number (X) donors starting with highest ranked donor and they never get past highest tier. Now someone there could look at this last years and tell you what level or day that lot was gone by.
Noooo don't steal him. Please, nooo. It'd be a real shame. A real shame.

Interesting thing to note is that Freedom HS, where Overton came from, 14 players followed him BUT there were 36 players from last year's State Championship team that would have been eligible to play but of those only 8 remained at Freedom. That means 14 more players that did not go to Hayfield went to other schools.
Those numbers make me think that there was a ton of recruiting going on at Freedom before Overton left but no one challenged the Freedom roster last year like this.
Ya it's mostly a joke. I do think the odds of the result being similar to last year is way less than the odds of them winning.
God help us if it's a one score game.
Usually in the past when I'm overly negative, I get surprised with a positive result; so I'm here to produce all the "we'll lose or get blown out posts" I can muster.
