That GT game cost us so much...

Another thing is that last year was a reseating year, which includes parking. So in order to get an RV spot for next year, someone else will have to give up their spot AND you will have to make such a donation that you'd be high enough up the donor ranking to get the first opportunity to take it.
IMO, if you are really serious about an RV spot and have the money, put in the donations for the next two years to put you in a good ranking for the next reseating. In the meantime, get a spot at the airport or over by the golf course.
If you do get an approximate $$ amount from the Hokie Club, it'd be interesting to hear it!
Not a bad Christmas present....
Just watched this the other night!

Not sure about portal but seen several decommits by incoming recruits.
That's what I thought that it appeared his one shoulder was humped up like it was wrapped in an ice pack.
Glad I'm not the only one that thought this.
I don't HATE this idea, but I do think it's worth giving Pry a chance this off-season. I really believe that he can save his job by hiring a new DC. If he doesn't make any significant staff changes in this off-season then he's basically betting on himself (and his staff) to be considerably better next year with, in all likelihood, less talent to work with and I think we all know that's not going to work out. My thought is this: give Pry a chance to course correct this off-season by making substantial staff changes - if he doesn't, then plan to fire him this time next year and work in the background to secure interest from a few candidates so we can make the move swiftly.
TL;DR - I think it's too early to fire Pry this year. IF he doesn't make any significant staff changes this off-season, then plan to fire him by this time next year and make sure you have a replacement lined up so we have a new HC in place by Christmas in 2025.

Yea but that's just not true. They lost 3 games to Vandy, Rutgers, and Miami due to poor in-game coaching decisions. Then even with the injuries we lost to Syracuse due to more poor in-game coaching decisions. I want the VT administration to show me they are serious about football and hold the coaches accountable. Something has to change or we should just accept the fact that 5-7 is our floor and 7-5 is our ceiling as a program.
Sorry I just reread that and hopefully it doesn't come off like I'm attacking you. I'm attacking the athletic department

I think without injuries, 7-4 was the floor
Agreed
Defense makes 5 more stops and we are, at worst, 9-2 (6-1) right now
The six losses were by an average of 5.66 points.
That paints a pretty good picture of this team's deficiencies.

Any players worth tying to grab in portal from UNC?

Vandy: We don't give them an extra 5 yards on the FG attempt in the 3rd, he might not have made it or they would have punted, that would be a W
Rutgers: We hold Rutgers to a FG instead of a TD in the 3rd, that's a W
Miami: Charlotte doesn't call in the result, that's a W
Syracuse: Defense makes a stand on the 3rd and 1 in the 4th. that's a W
Duke: Hold on the 3rd and 13, that's a W
Defense makes 5 more stops and we are, at worst, 9-2 (6-1) right now sitting at 3rd in the ACC, with a chance to go to 2nd if Cal could upend SMU.

Time is valuable and we basically know Pry won't work out next year. The one thing he has going for him is a pretty good recruiting class coming in, that we don't want to screw up before signing day...
I'm more and more of the opinion we should just plan to fire him after the game regardless of outcome and get Schumann. He would probably be able to keep this class together, and maybe even add a couple more pieces. (I'm sure Clatterbaugh for example would love to play for the current Georgia DC). At the very least I would be talking to Schumann to gauge interest, if he wanted the job I think we should pull the trigger
That's better for him long-term. The way I remember his head hitting the ground on that play didn't look pretty. I saw him covering his head with the sideline jacket on the way back to the locker room and figured he was having concussion symptoms, I didn't notice the shoulder wrap.

If I get someone to answer the phone, I will report back. Two tries yesterday resulted in no live bodies to answer and no ability to leave a voicemail. I realize it is right before Thanksgiving but that should not result in a phone that just rings endlessly.
