He is atrocious. I have extremely low expectations from these guys and he manages to not meet them.
How about the exchange when Louisville got the ball back with about six minutes to go. the play by play guy says "What kind of mode are you in offensively? Are you in quick-strike mode or are you in churning-clock mode if you're Louisville?" Mack replies "A little bit of both"
He later added "Dalvin Cook is a good player"

# | Heather Dinich, please tell us what you think about Virginia Tech this year.... Heather doesn't like us and that's fine. There's a lot of people who aren't fans of our football team that I respect. It doesn't automatically make someone Hitler when they don't bleed O&M.
To be fair to her, she watched us lay eggs in big games against the likes of Kansas, Georgia, and Stanford when we were the cream of the crop of the ACC.
Do I enjoy her bashing us? No, of course not. Is she entitled to that opinion? Absolutely. Do I have the option of not tuning in? Yep.
I think the majority of the people hating on her are too young to remember when Bill Brill was our beat writer. He hated us like the Taliban hates freedom.

How does Mack Brown still have a job? He has said so much BS during this game tonight. "Look for them to run it inside here", Duke throws a screen, "Don't look for them to punt anymore", Duke down 10 with less than a 1:30 on the clock.
I also drive a Tacoma, 4 door. It's a bit tight with a car seat, but the truck will still be going strong by the time car seats are gone.

Agreed. Looked like kicker planted both feet and then leaned into the contact and really sold it. Unfortunate way to decide the game really.
I get the penalty, but that looked awfully like running into the kicker, not roughing.
Not sure if that was Roughing the Kicker, but Duke player needs to know not to do that

Note that of the 37 classes that are outside the top 10, only 13 are outside the top 15. Then again, there's a huge amount of bias in the recruiting process. Over the years, a number of recruits have gained a star or two by simply getting an offer from a team like Bama and lost a star or two, if they commit to a team that's not in the SEC and not one of the "storied" programs.
Our defense and defensive depth are better than Duke's.
Flaunt it man. They are actually made of a high quality uv resistant material. I not saying they will last forever. But by the time it goes bad there will probably be some way to get another one.
I think we could stop louisville if we met them in the ACCCG. Duke's discipline is poor at containing and Louisville's throwing is horrible

I was feeling kind of nervous about the Duke game this year for us just because Duke has always seemed to be a thorn in our side.
But if Bud keeps his defense at where it is right now, I don't think we'll have any problems. It seems like they have 4 plays -- read option, run up the middle, screen pass, or chuck it downfield.
It's either that or they're being hyper-conservative for some odd reason
edit: sigh never mind they looked competent on that drive
EDM artisit, sounds kinda like Calvin Harris and Tiesto if you know who those DJs are

I know some of you forget but Andrea Adelson before she became an ACC writer used to tear into VT like she got a bonus for how bad she could make us look.
I think HD may have started to learn about college football, while the term "chokies" took root. She missed the early 2000s and watched Matt Ryan on one bad Thursday night. Since, her neck is already out there, she couldn't take a risk on VT. Although, I'm pretty sure she picked us to beat Ohio St in one of the games, I think the second game.
In reality, she is only concerned in career advancement and she did get promoted. VT is not the sexy pick. Her own networks recruiting service says Miami & FSU are always top ten and VT is lucky to make the top 25. I don't blame her on recent history and maybe she was advised to take an adversarial role to increase hits?
IMO, I think sticking your neck out like she does is not worth it unless you put the rings around your neck like they do in Africa

That's a fair point as I'd agree we failed to take advantage of the glory years in those ways. I'd guess we all have some speculation on the reason why that might have been but it's probably better to let it be.

If we are so meh Heather, How are your beloved Noles doing? They beat Ole Miss, yet UNC beat them. SOS? You have anything to say about them? Ugh. it has to be personal. She just can't say anything good about Virginia Tech.
