If anyone wants to go to the ND game check out ChicagoHokies alumni site. I live in DC but am going with a group of about 15 to Chicago for the game. SouthBend is only a two hour drive and the Chicago Hokies have rented 6 (possibly more by now) charter buses and leaving Chicago at 8:30 AM for SouthBend and will be back in Chicago by 8:30 PM. Bus tickets include round trip transportation and snacks, non alcoholic beverages. I went to OSU in Columbus and this is another great opportunity to get a W in a cool away stadium. Tickets for the bus we $75 but may have gone up to $90. Last time I checked we had over 200 Hokies leaving from Chucago to take over SouthBend. Go Tech

Just heard at the very end of the press conference with Buzz -- he wasn't officially taking questions and he was away from the mic a little bit but what I heard was "He's going to wear the boot for 8 weeks" before someone cut off the mic.
I'm assuming this is about Blackshear so we'll see

I'm not concerned that Coach Fuente (corrected!) will be looking ahead. Hopefully the seniors can keep everyone focused on the job at hand this Saturday. After last week's butt kicking the Hokies are starting to get more press via the national media and it becomes very easy to start looking ahead.
The Syracuse game is the very definition of a trap game. Bad opponent, on the road in a location where it can be difficult to play, stuck between two matchups against highly rated teams. I'm very hopeful that the coaching staff knows how to keep the guys dialed in but we've yet to see them in this situation yet.

No. no they all matter. I love looking ahead and thinking about where we may end up. I know coach has it under control as far as managing the player's focus on the next game. This allows us as fans to speculate wildly. Try it you might like it.
Personally I think every remaining game is not only winnable but likely a win. Pitt for sure gives the most pause. Miami did not impress me against FSU. They have some offensive weapons but there were times they just did not look good against what has proven a mediocre FSU defense. So I like our chances to go 10-2, maybe better.....

College has started the shift to spread them out hurry up no huddle offense, but I don't think the NFL is quite as accepting to change.
this.... we historically have big trouble against teams with a good #1 cover guy.. IMHO... I wish I could say our #2 is gonna take over if they have a good #1 matchup... but I'm pretty darn nervous about it
I feel like even this year we've struggled with separation a bit... we'll see Miami usually has a good cover guy or two ... if they do and they keep us one dimensional... Miami has stacked the box and blitzed like crazy in the past
and that Pitt guy... I don't know what he does but he usually gives us fits despite him having a down D year I wanna see us exploit matchups #1-#3 and beyond this year... cause Pitt is a pain in the arse 4 us
