It seems like in a lot of those cases Jerod is reading the defense and calling audibles and making pre-snap changes. I don't think it's anything to worry about. Even with a minor slow down this offense is leaps and bounds faster and more productive than the past few years.

Whiting will be there (use sand fleas - with roe, live clams, or frozen clams). It might be a bit early for Pompano (they like water temps near 68F). The surf will be heavily churned later this week and it will take a few days for it to calm down. That being said, after a hurricane, the fish are usually displaced from their normal haunts and they are HUNGRY! I have caught some great catches of fish I would not expect to find in my normal spots in Central FL a day or so after the blow stops and as the water starts to recover. Palm Coast is a bit north of my experienced area (Melbourne, Grant, Sebastian Inlet) but I have visited there (not to fish) and noted the coastline. Find a spot where the bottom slope isn't too flat. I would prefer a trough immediately next to the shore (if you step in the edge is gets deep pretty quick) which is where the reds will prowl (I have literally thrown a live mullet 15 ft off the beach into the trough many times and scored within a half hour). If you can find areas with some coquina reef or sandbar breaks/outflows (as French and IFishVTIam say) go for that. A moving tide (incoming or outgoing) will be best. Whiting will be further out (Use a longer casting surf rod for them). There should be PLENTY of live mullet around (The fall run has been on for weeks down there), but you'll need a way to keep them alive (bubbler). I used to set up a couple beach rods and then walk the beach around there throwing a spoon, diamond jig, or Mirrolure twitchbait while waiting for a hit on the set rods. Morning bite (especially if timed with moving tide) is the best.

You know he had to bite his tongue the last few years, but it just wasn't fair to him what he was being asked to do with an offense like we had. Even throughout our run at the top, we were always a team playing with one hand tied behind its back.
And this is why I don't think he's going to bail for another job, even as a head coach. He's now in a spot where its looking like he has an offense on this squad that can offensively carry a team on a given weekend. He doesn't have the weight of the entire program on his shoulders anymore. That has to be so damn refreshing after all this time. I think he's going to just enjoy the ride for a few years here potentially watching our offense put up 40 a game and knowing his margin of error is so much wider than it used to be. And really, why shouldn't he, he's completely earned this.

Now granted we have been in the middle of some huge blowouts, but it seems like we are snapping the ball with only 15 on the clock on average.

Tbh, and I'm sure this will be an unpopular opinion, I don't want Joey trying a kick that long unless it's absolutely necessary. My confidence in him hitting anything from much beyond 40-45 yards is approximately zero. Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to bash him. He's been excellent from inside 40 and I really respect that, especially after our kicking struggles before him (see: Journell, Cody and then Walmart kicker). He has all of the leg in the world to nail the longer kicks but unfortunately accuracy is a part of the equation to and, for whatever reason, he just hasn't been to get that part down.

But seriously, one of the reasons I love that we're trending upwards and again ranked is that it significantly increases our chances of hosting GameDay again. And with Beamer having just retired, you KNOW those guys will make any excuse they can to come out and honor him after everything they openly say that he did for their show.
I generally hear it used as "Keep it Stupidly Simple" in professional settings (or just drop the "stupid") just to avoid people misunderstanding.

This stood out to me as another sign of frustration. As the story goes, the defense was there when it mattered, but the offense, not so much.
