That's troubling to hear. It was such a classic, almost magical place. Waxing nostalgic for sure. I'm glad to have eaten there with friends, family, loved ones. It was one place, even the last few years, that I would tell people, "you have to eat here!"

Yeah.... But then again you have times like when the music store on the corner was replaced by Moe's....

this... work on fundamentals. Whether the win is by 1 or 100 doesn't matter. For everyone new to the program (coaches, players, and even fans) just get that first "W".

I'm curious as well. I was a student around this time, but do not recall use of the Enter Sandman entrance. Perhaps it was just the song blaring and the unified jumping progressed to what it is now.

Agree with bco on all of them.

Turner Gill brings donuts to the student's at "Gillville" the morning of Liberty's home football games that aren't from Carol Lee. Video Proof:

Agree with you on that. We could beat them badly based on sheer talent
but if the plays aren't run well and we have some turnovers, that wouldn't be good.

Definitely a fun place to hang out and get a burger.
What was the thing they did, like the lettuce and everything
was on the bottom part of the bun, etc?

I've been expecting this to happen for a few years now. I know it has some history and I hate seeing a local place close up, but there were probably 4 or 5 places I would've chosen over Mikes for a burger the past few years (Not even counting some burgers on campus that I'd go for first). Gotta keep the product up if you want to make money.

Sad to see Mike's go.

London Underground still is my favorite place to eat whenever I'm in town.

They do some amazing food there, and their burgers are no joke. Plus, scotch eggs.

I can hardly remember a time without the annual Jim Weaver Bowl.

It's the only bowl that, instead giving out a trophy, awards you by not giving you crippling depression for at least a week if you win.

We should find out this year. With Bud singing his praises and the role he will play as a versatile guy in the secondary that allows the defense to disguise what it's doing, it sounds like he is a pretty key player (pun obviously intended) for this year's team.
