I think Mook is the real deal. Versatile and can tackle in space. Plus he seems like a really good dude.

Fuck. I loved that place, and I wish I could've taken some of my newbie college friends there.

Always look forward to this during the season

Houston +10.5 --- Cougars lose but it will be interesting
North Carolina +2.5 --- If Fedora doesn't forget he has Elijah Hood could be a big win for UNC
Alabama -11.5
Clemson -7.5 --- Wouldn't be surprised to see Auburn looking for a new coach after this year
Notre Dame -3.5 --- Think freshman Texas QB impresses though
Florida State -4.5 --- That talent on FSU is insane, need to keep some of those players in the state of VA

I don't think there's ever been an up and coming generation that has been collectively shat upon nearly so much as the Millennials. I'm too old to be considered a Millennial by a couple of years (born in '79) but I can tell you I identify more strongly with my Millennial friends than I do with my slightly older Gen X peers.

Kind of related- can anyone recall what the name of Cabo Fish Taco was in 1998? The building changed names several times before Cabo Fish Taco was established, and I had some glorious nights there, but I don't have the synapses left to remember.

The commentary was fantastic, so glad football is back

Why would that be the case? We aren't playing oversized, we are playing typical size.

He doesn't have to crash the boards every play, he needs to be disruptive every play. That can mean qb pressure, collapsing pocket, closing running lanes, etc. I suspect size is going to open up more from our stunt packages and afford MUCH better contain.

This is great. It's interesting that in years past, this would probably be more full with 2 and 3 stars, even though we were winning more.

Sooners -10.5
AFAM 101 +2.5
Roll Tahd -11.5
Fighting Watsons -7.5
Irish -3.5
Talkin Bout Da Noles -4.5

Don't feel great about going all three ACC, but it is what it is.

It seems he does have a plan, and that plan is called MOOK.

Bud's wagering Mook can fill the role of both whip and nickel. Very reminiscent of Kyle Fuller playing whip earlier in his career. Given the widespread adoption of spread offenses, expect Mook's responsibilities to be more of a nickel, but Foster won't have to substitute him out against bigger personnel packages.

Although, I do wonder if this will hold true against heavier formation teams like Pitt. Perhaps then Shegog will get burn. Also, I sincerely hope Mook at 183 pounds can hold up to the toll of playing in the box. That wore Kyle down some.

A wise man once told me "don't worry, just work"!

Here's to hoping I start out this year skrong....
