Call me old school, but I personally dislike all the variations of uniforms that we, along with almost every other P5 team, wear. Why don't we just design a kick-ass uni, and stick with it? I can see the OCCASIONAL throwback uni and such, but this different uni every other week thing dilutes the product, IMHO.

Also, I thought the shoulder stripes uni started as a throwback, and that was fine, but then it became incorporated as the basis of our permanent uniform design. I'm not as much against the shoulder stripes as I am against all the uniform variations from week to week. Sometimes at the start of a game, it's like, "which team are we?"

I like the holes 3-6 feet deep with moving, but not fast water, in them. I would guess the really big fish want the biggest hole possible. I've fished all over downtown. The catfish are all over the place, not really concentrated in one area. I would avoid Belle Isle due to all of the people however

Soooo are we just ignoring the shot where the UVA football player is struggling mightily to bench the bar?

I didn't.

I got bits and pieces of news about players and performance from friends who worked with the team during undergrad (2003-2007) and maybe early grad school, but really I didn't have anything. I never followed recruiting and didn't know anything about the depth chart until I picked up a program at the first game. I kick myself for not going to spring games during undergrad, but they never seemed to make a big deal out of them, and I never seemed to find out the dates until after they were over and I was reading about the outcome in the CT the following Monday. TKP has filled a vast void in my life.

Judging by the comments it was around 5pm on the 22nd if my math is correct. But I think we would all benefit from a Hokie Fireman online safety class/AMA primarily focused on situations where bourbon is involved.

Spider-Man was always my favorite comic book as a kid. He was a smart, wise-cracking guy who could nearly fly, was super strong, and having "spidey sense" to know when danger was coming seemed to make him almost unbeatable.

This shows what I mean. I am a pretty high-volume commenter. The link to the reply is nondescript when I'm scrolling through. I'd like something more obvious. This is my only nitpick about the design of the site. Often, it's hard to tell what is a link and what is text. When I'm scanning through, or know I've been particularly active across many threads, I'd like something that sticks out like a sore thumb. I understand if Joe prefers a minimalist design (I am a fan of this approach and have done web design in the same style) but for commenting and discussion, I want to be sort of beaten over the head with "pay attention to this!"

They're butter knives that can do a number on a cheese plate. Question is, how much "cheese" is on lolUVA's schedule? I'd say better hold off on buying the crackers, BM.

I don't know if there really is one specific choice. There are a few all-stars in the field, both in terms of basic and clinical research. There are people doing really boundary-pushing work in my arena of computational studies, but the more advanced biological and biochemical research is being done in a few places.

Sadly, the truth is that after over 100 years of work, we still have very little clue how the disease starts or how to address it. Clinical trials of drugs often fail, the drugs on the market don't actually treat anything (they just mitigate symptoms until the disease gets so bad that they stop working), and 99% of cases have no predictable origin since only 1% of Alzheimer's cases have a specific genetic link.

I actually liked the turkey tracks. The foghorn leghorn was the worst. Thought the grey uni was forgettable, much like the special teams play against Alabama.
