Yea but I bet Lawson will be an afterthought once Harris gets to town...
Well said, and while we fans love to second guess coaching decisions we do it with only the smallest amount of information and in most cases much less experience. But like Geico says, we're fans, it's what we do.
I'm a little shocked it didn't happen after the owners colluded to stay under the cap in an un-capped year. They've over-stepped so many bounds in just a few short years, after getting concessions that any other industry couldn't even dream of. Rookie contract scales are so incredibly team-friendly that all I can think of is that teams got emboldened enough to do literally whatever they want. Compounded with rising injury concerns I wouldn't be too surprised if there's no NFL for an entire year or more
In all fairness, they have no football identity so why not just take ideas from successful schools? Seems BM's only original thought was not letting his players practice. We will see how that works out for him.
You guys realize that Auburn's colors are based on UVA, right? The first Auburn football coach was a UVA alum and chose those colors specifically.

Teller was our best OL last year in run blocking for sure. He made some mistakes in Pass Pro but they all did. Is it possible with the new offense and new staff, he just isn't executing as well as Colt? It sounds like they are expecting the technical aspects of everything to be right so that they can go fast effectively. If he is a bulldozer that has 1 gear but can't do the things Vice is looking for on a consistent basis, he likely is just being out played. Everyone says he IS our best OL but right now, he only WAS our best OL from the previous offense. He has to prove that again with the new coaches and scheme.
Getting Leal'ed
Evans to Motley to Jackson to Ford ... Touchdown for the Good Guys!!'
Wait something's not Clicking... Ford?? didn't Andrew transfer or was it the Lawson guy? no maybe his dad??? Didn't someone go with the Leoffler to BC??? Its all so confusing.......
I really do lack any level of sympathy for someone if they want to try to get paid by two teams at once, so as long as the Chargers make up any difference between the guarantee they make to him and the real money he makes that year, I don't see why that isn't acceptable.
I have an extremely hard time believing anyone would accept this in their own profession. As an example that's closer to what most people would encounter, imagine you leave your current job with 10 vacation days banked. Your company has a policy that they pay you the value of your vacation days upon leaving your job. But there's a catch. Your new job gives you 10 days vacation per year. So, instead of being paid for your vacation, they tell you that your new vacation days offsets your old ones, and they no longer owe you a penny. Would you really accept that? Would you let your old company off the hook for money just because you got a new job? NFL and NCAA coaches wouldn't, and they're often paid by multiple teams due to guarantees in their contracts. Yet somehow when a player is in this situation, they're greedily double-dipping.
The ironic part is that the player is willing to accept this ridiculous idea, and all the Chargers have to do is move around when they give him the signing bonus. They get to include language in the contract that is so far into their favor it would be laughable in any other profession, and all they have to do is pay what they owe a few months earlier. At best it's penny-wise/pound-foolish. At worst it's trying to begin a new precedent to give rookies even worse contracts then what they've been getting.
Can any UT fans point us in the direction of a good site? I know there's more of a rivary factor here, but one of the things that made the OSU games so much fun was the interaction with elevenwarriors (and the constant misreading as "elven warriors").
Except, y'know, actually.
That white helmet is 100% Auburn.

I thought the same thing.
They're dressing like Clemson for Halloween.
I see sleeve stripes on that throwback jersey, but still yet, sleeve stripes > shoulder stripes
same memories of MV5 in the 05 Miami game
I vividly remember the same thing, and kept screaming at the tv asking why the refs wouldn't call a false start...he was already taking steps towards the kick before it was snapped...I guess it is legal for all I know!
As a software engineer, I concur.
My wife calls them costumes, or sometimes outfits. Don't know which is worse...
I said it from the beginning, Fuente had to play this situation exactly as he has done. You don't come in as a new coach taking over for a 29 year tenured coach and then kick the players you inherit to the curb without "giving them a fair shot". Fuente knew all along that he would start Evans, he is the guy Fuente brought in, but in making this into a race that went down to the last week of camp, Coach empowered every other player on the field, including Motley, to give it their all and feel like their hard work and talent would trump all, whether they were a Fuente guy or a Beamer holdover. Not to mention, this team very likely will NEED Motley at some point during this season, Motley is a RS SR who will undoubtedly be upset by not winning out, but who will now do what is best for the team no matter what, all because Fuente did right by him as much as he could throughout from day 1. Fuente gets it, this was flawless management of young men given the circumstances.
Meh.... I'll take our Hokie Stone uniforms and the design implications that has to our future anyday over these
yeah, the helmet's dumb. But I wouldn't mind having Maroon and White versions of those jerseys....

FTFY.
Looks like Bronco called the "not earned practice" level a while ago.
Bronco says he believes in a practice schedule where you earn your way to the next period. Says it might take a while to get out of period 1— Doug Samuels (@CoachSamz) December 7, 2015
But they do have the V with crossed steak knives...

I guess it just looks better on a winner.
