I must say, I was pretty impressed with Brenden Motley. He is engaging and obviously really wants to be the guy. I have not had much occasion to listen to him speak previously, so my only opinion of him was formed from his play on the field. I felt like last year his body language often communicated unease and despondency at times. It just seemed like he was pouting or never fully engaged. To be fair, he got screwed royally by Scotty. I think Lefty's offense was so complex he could only teach it to one quarterback very well. Mostly I am feeling hopeful that either guy will be able to execute. Thankfully, its not an offense of "Logan Thomas and 10 other guys". There are some weapons and some maturity to help a new or newish quarterback out. Anyhow, rambling......Go Hokies. I can't want for football.

Based off what I know, the Bristol tickets are generic. They are not designated student, or otherwise, but do have a colored title according to where the seat is. Mine are green at the top with "grandstand" on them.

So yes, a non-student can use the ticket, as long as it is in possession. No printable or emailed tickets for this.

Argument?

Has any other athlete ever been this dominant over a 12 year period like Phelps? Even the best of their sports (Jordan, Gretzky, etc) all had down periods where others stepped up and took their place. Not Phelps.

That said, don't be surprised if Ledecky positions herself to be in the discussion by the time she's done.

If Phelps was his own country he would rank 38/39th in terms of most gold medals EVERY by a country for summer Olympics.

It's amazing how many more golds he had than some COUNTRIES in their history.

Argument for Phelps being the greatest athlete in U.S. history?

21 gold medals is ridiculous

Townley Haas and the rest of US swimming is doing so well this year. Haas is from Richmond and his sister was wounded at VT. The future of US swimming looks great.

I feel like I haven't been fair to Motley because I've been considering Evans as this underrated guy who will win Heisman and the natty we've been looking for. I haven't even begun to consider the possibility of Evans upping Motley's game and making Fuente confident in whoever he chooses. I still think Evans will be QB1 but only because Evans isn't the kind of guy you recruit to sit the bench for a year. With 2 years of eligibility left, I see him starting right away and Motley having a running role like in the Ohio State game before the season collapsed (am i the only one who thinks we win that game if Brewer doesn't get hurt?)

I bought 2 tickets for the battle at bristol game when I renewed my student season tickets this spring. I was wondering if anyone knew whether that extra ticket could be used by a non student. Also does anyone remember when they were gonna be ready for pick up at the ticket office. (It's been a long ass time since I bought them and read all this stuff)

Yeah, it was really ugly. The first goal was just ridiculous - echoes of Bill Buckner. Then the last foul...ugh. The announcers had spend several minutes talking about how the US was going to win, what it was going to mean, etc. and all I could think was that it felt like a lot of bad karma. Then, poof, the lead was gone.
