To add, most reasonable Tennessee fans that I know aren't buying the hype either. They are in this weird, "I know we should be good but we aren't" place. The reasonable fans I know love the VT match-up, but are nervous about Bud having time to prep and the unknown with the new offense.
They love the recruiting, but can't understand why Butch Jones hasn't done a better job on the field. FWIW

As publisher, I see what happens behind the scenes, and I am extremely proud of his hustle to publish the first (as best I can tell) commitment interview with Ellis — one of Tech's biggest gets in recent memory.
(As a dad, I am more inclined to say sh-- like this now.)

Sounds like he's wanted to be Hokie for a while, and the coaches are not the only ones excited about his commitment. Feeling a lot better about him being a Hokie after reading this. Great stuff.

I haven't enjoyed a recruit's highlight tape that much in a while. He's the kind of dynamic athlete that can get other kids to commit and really create some momentum.
Speaking of other kids... He looked like he had a couple playmakers on his team on that tape.
