First off, the SEC has been and is better than the ACC, and has a huge following, so anybody in the business of making money is going to definitely take advantage of that. Secondly, I think you are wrong....I predict that we and everybody else will be sick of hearing about the Beamer to Fuente transition this year due to getting too much attention, especially in week 2 when no better story lines have materialized.
Miss a start., but not a game. It's all good. Just like baseball and F$U!
I took a Psych (Behavior Modification I think) course at VT over the summer of '87 or '88 where we spent a week on that. Not sure how many athletes (if any) were in the class, but it would have been hard to fail that one. They even gave the same multiple choice tests as last year, which everyone seemed to know ahead of time, and that you could look them up in the library.
Hungover checking in.
took the family out to eat last night for our family's "8th birthday" (8 year anniversary, but when you've got a 5 year old, 3 year old, and a 38 weeks pregnant wife and live in a new town where you don't know any babysitters yet, it's got to be a family celebration). On the way to the restaurant, my 3 year old daughter says "I'll say 'let's go' and you say 'hokies.'" She kept saying "let's go" so I kept saying "hokies." Not wanting to stifle what I hope will be a lifelong fandom, I indulged her for all 20 minutes to get to the restaurant. Wife and son were amused at first...
I went to get a drink after work yesterday here in North Carolina (after reading this thread), saw someone in a VT shirt across the room, and yelled "Go Hokies". He just stared back at me and said "Really.... Dad". TKP is really helping me through the off season.
$20 says he picks Tennessee :-(
to be fair, you never really know with any 17-18 year old kid trying to make a big decision
Don't they have a class on Deep Breathing aka Meditation?
or #2, #3, #4, or #5
If only they had tried to live out this dream against Kansas in the Orange bowl, we would have won that game.
Perhaps saying he doesn't have class doesn't pertain to him in his personal life, but wearing a jersey is all I care about when it comes to Ronaldo. And while he's a great talent, he's not enjoyable to watch and I root against him as a person on the field. His behavior, his attitude, and his demeanor are not something I enjoy. Sounds like you're a fan and you do follow what he does off the pitch and it sounds like he does great things, but it doesn't change the fact that as a footballer, I don't like him and I think there's enough evidence throughout his history to justify it, just like there's evidence to support a similar feeling towards any other player out there pretty much.
Tons of examples of stuff like this. Anyone who truly follows him closely knows he is very generous and kind. It was determined (hard to measure this exactly I'm sure) that he was the most charitable athlete in the world.
ronaldo seems like a great person off the field which is nice to see but on the field he is such a whiner/diva can't stand the on field ronaldo
In what can only be described as Billy Hite/Bryan Stinespring co-authored erotic fan fiction, the Buckeyes won a game in which they completed a single pass.)
If I remember correctly, that Miami game is 2003 was similar to this. Maybe 4 complete passes total? And 1 by one Marcus Vick for a TD
USF is in Florida, though. And the academic requirements are less stringent.
Latest Intel says that it's down to ISU and VT. Normally wouldn't worry about USF but you never know what's going to happen with a kid who's changed his decision date 4 times now.
nicely done
I used to be one of those people who hated Ronaldo, but you're absolutely right. He's represented as a diva because he's an attractive guy who lives it up a good bit and can react poorly on the field. In reality, he lives very cleanly (doesn't drink apparently) and gives a ton to charity. And it's not just that he gives to charity, but he seems like a kind person. Here's an example. The media is laughing at a boy's accent as he tries to speak to Ronaldo in Portuguese and he supports the kid.
We only lost that one kid to Iowa State because of his brother. We surely can't lose another to them without a solid reason. Also, USF is a joke so I'm not even worried about them.
There are quite a few here on an ongoing basis, judging from car decals, clothing, and other miscellaneous gear I see regularly.
lots and lots of early mornings spent rowing on that lake.... Usually was a good time, so long as the other guys in the boat werent hung over...... then it wasnt a good time. lol
I love how he casually adjusts the trunks 5-6 seconds in. Dude has it under control.
You can thank Final Cut Pro for that one

In EVERY other alternate timeline and dimension...yes.
