Bingo. I have been to many seasons worth of games at both stadiums and while Clemson's stadium tends to be a little bit louder (that's what 80,000+ in seating will do), when it comes to the specifics of the different traditions I think ours is way cooler.
My argument centers on consistency. We had some hot phases here and there but you're fooling yourself if you think we have the talent that teams like Argentina, Germany, France, Spain, The Netherlands, Colombia, etc. have. It's not giving up. It's not defeatist. It's realism.

Memorial Stadium is lit, perhaps louder than Lane for your average game, but Howard's Rock is not nearly as stellar as Enter Sandman (Source: Been to two Clemson games against top 6 teams). As I understand it, Enter Sandman is 'relatively' new (10-15 years old?), while Howard's Rock has been around half a century - so maybe that accounts for some of the bias.
Enter Sandman won the reddit tournament for this last year. Then, a Clemson fan posted this article on there today and all the comments were about how VT's was better haha.
Anywho, I've been to so many Clemson games, it's totally underwhelming.
Their entrance is a 1000 times more lame.
It was just funny how you wrote it, I could just see someone saying what I wrote about our entrance.

I mean, literally, Clemson's is... Exit Locker room - hop on a bus at one side of the stadium - ride to the other side of the stadium - get off the bus - wait at the top of a hill - rub a rock - release balloons - run down the hill - fight song

Clemson and FSU played in a National Championship in the last few years and VT hasn't. So I guess our intro isn't that great.
Not disagreeing with you one bit, but we jump up, touch a rock, and run out of a tunnel.
I did read that this year they're moving to biodegradeable balloons, so at least they aren't polluting all over the place anymore.
Why? We were #10 in 2009, #15 in 2002, #11 in 2013!!! Why can't we expect or cultivate or support or maintain a top 15 team in the world? NOT expecting a top tier team is giving up. And I'm not prepared to do that.
Again, I'm not prepared to say we don't have the talent. I am willing to say they haven't been prepared, but the talent level is up there. There are teams ahead of us in the top 20 that don't have the greatest talent, but play together as a squad and rise to the occasion despite their shortcomings. Again, we were #11 36 months ago...

Memory, as usual these days, fails me as to the when, but I do remember one of our best years playing them in Clemson and taunting them as a team while they lined up to do the rock. C'mon down, our guys were gesturing and shouting...then we whupped 'em.
One thing I try to avoid, though, is belittling another team's traditions. The incessant and annoyingly condescending question from Texas fans at the '95 Sugar Bowl about "What's a Hokie?" made me a bit more sensitive in that regard. Enter Sandman is a relatively new phenomenon, I'll continue to respect more established traditions as we continue to build our own.

All I could think of while seeing this is that's not the character that says that.
It'd take two more losses for that to happen. Thank goodness that Thursday night Lane game was cancelled.

Pulisic could be a good player during his career, but he's nowhere near those mentioned right now. Not even in the same stratosphere.
And yeah, we have some talent. But we don't have talent that matches up with the 20 best teams in the world. There's really no other way to put that. I think expecting that kind of result at this stage is folly. We'd fire every manager.
