During my Tech years I had three roomies (among many) from Princeton so that's a little surprising. And back in those days, fans from the state used to pour across the state line heading to Blacksburg on game days. Perhaps, as out-of-state tuition has risen and that southern portion of the state has been hit with a long drain on its economy ties to Virginia Tech have slipped. It could also be this toothless gramps lost so much money to all the Tech fans in his area, he just couldn't take it anymore and finally exploded at your expense while showing his grandson what fine dining and fan revelry is all about.

With Fuente lots of WRs. We didn't take a RB in '16 so definitely a RB. Still thin at DE even with young talent. LB is thin too. There really isn't a position we don't need, safeties probably.

Hes been a FSU lock for months. Our probability was already 0%. Even if UNC is ahead of us now, just opening up his recruiting away from FSU is good for us

Up tempo is about dictating terms to the defense.

It reduces the defense' ability to substitute, either situationally or to keep players fresh. At times it also allows plays to be run with the defense occasionally out of position or without everyone on the same page...what Tulsa did to VT in the bowl game.

I think the averages are deceiving. While they let you look at the game as a whole, i.e., numbers of plays, the value of up tempo comes when there are substantially less than 22 seconds between plays, with the defense scrambling just to get in position, much less make a special call or engage in pre-snap antics.

Like the guy I encountered in a Princeton Wendy's when I was on my way to go skiing at Winterplace while at Tech. This guy had his grandson with him and his three teeth, probably drunk, saw me in my Tech hoodie and commenced to storm around the Wendy's screaming F*** Virginia Tech repeatedly. I'm sure he wasn't alum (but hell, he could have been the WVU president for all I know), but that memory made the day we beat them in 2004 feel so much better. I hope we inexplicably beat them 77-0 forever and ever.

Crappy venue and not the most attractive match up that I would want to see. Maybe with D Snyder charging $100 to park your car nost WVU fans won't show up. I brought my coach there to the BSU and I swore I would never drive it back to FedEx field again. The amount of glass bottles that were tossed in the parking lot was ridculous. Most of the fans that participated in that foolishness were not wearing blue and red.

I hate WVU, not because of the rivalry, but because of the WVU fans. I'm sure Whit already knows about all that trash but scheduled this anyway. I don't want to have anything to do with this game and I think the rivalry should go the way of the dinosaur.
