See, I thought the ones they released on VHS in the mid 90s (NOT in the theaters) were acceptable and pleasant.

Not sure Henery VIII would agree, and Calvin definitely didn't predict it.

I always thought Hudson would transfer up, Pierce would transfer down. Hudson visiting Texas seems to verify that he will transfer up. Luckily, PSU is a "transfer down" for VT hoops.......which is something because that wasn't the case only a few months ago.

yeah I seriously doubt we'll beat Tenn. I just hope it isn't embarrassing but I'm acutely aware that it could easily turn into a lopsided affair. They have been building for a few years now and they're going to be a very tough team to beat. Not just in the SEC, but in the whole country. They will probably (and should) be favored to win the East and play for the SEC title.

VT on the other hand is in the midst of a transition to a new coaching staff. New philosophy. New culture. New practice/gameweek structure. The timing just isn't great for us to play this game and come out on top. But those are the cards we've been dealt. Outside of Tenn and ND the rest of our schedule is pretty manageable. I think 8 wins is a reasonable expectation for this team.

Until the ACC has a new (non-UNC alum) commish VT is going to be stuck with BC as a cross-over. Unfortunately, there just isn't any gettin' out of it

also, if ND joined as a full member they would bring Navy with them. That would be your crossover. ND would probably join the Atlantic since it has "more storied programs" like Clemson and FSU. That would dump Navy into the Coastal.

Exact same situation here. I didn't realize how low we were compared to the competition. In the last year I got married and bought a house- I don't have a ton of money sitting around. We live in Seattle, won't be making it to many games (if any) in the next year or two. But I just sent in $100 for the first time and I intend to continue going forward.

Which is weird because any time you go to Mike's Grill, there are tons of pictures of him at the front counter when he was a student here. I was under the assumption pretty much everyone orders a burger when they went to Mike's...

I wasn't overly excited about the EU=non-canon move, but Disney certainly has placed a focus on holding to what the originals made special. Still hold out hope that some of the great EU characters make it back into the canon, though

I've been asking for those non-defiled versions for years. Sadly, they are quite expensive. Having them finally released en masse is going to be great.

There may be a budget shortfall because of that, but all the writing indicate that they want to fund all the scholarships from donations and not the athletic budget. The increasing cost of scholarships plus the COA money is why there needs to be more donation $. Whit has been very specific when he talks that coaches salaries are paid from the athletic budget and won't be funded by donations.

Way to make the rest of the thread irrelevant better before it even gets started fireman

...Let us pray...

Having gone to an episcopal high school, this is my automatic reply every time.

Yeah. Tennessee is going to be a tough one.

I just looked back at their season last year. They only lost 4 games, and not one of them was by more than 5 points in regulation (they lost in 2OT to Oklahoma)...and they're returning 16 Seniors. I dont know their roster well enough to know how many of them are returning starters, but thats going to be a pretty good team next year.

As much as people might not like Disney buying things up like this, it has been a great move so far. The Force Awakens was fantastic, and they are planning to release the original trilogy in it's unaltered (and significantly better) original form. So no more weird CGI long mouth alien, kissy lips concert in Jabba's Palace in Return of the Jedi, or stupid looking CGI inserted Jabba in the A New Hope.
