UGa fan taught me their trick. The message is not valid that they've already counted your vote, only once a day! Keep hitting Return to Poll, then vote again n again until they give you the cooling off period. Then go back later. They're doing it so let's out do the Ugga.. Ignore the message. I just brought it up a point until they hit me with too many votes. Cooling off until unlocked. Try it but keep voting as it is slow but they are counting. Using my IPhone at work. Priorities! LOL
As someone who endured being a rat at VT in '68, and endured Army basic training in Kentucky in '70, I can assure you that being a shithead because you were shit upon was a part of both experiences. Big difference, at least in the real military, was that there was a true lifesaving purpose to the exercise. I did, however, witness some out of bounds behavior in both instances, the worst was the beating of an obviously mentally challenged draftee in basic by drill sergeants who decided to make life miserable for someone who clearly didn't belong there. Thankfully, not all the upperclassmen at VT were assholes, and the ones who were stood out to all as just that, assholes on a power trip. Some of them did, indeed, cross the line into blatant hazing, with the seeming intent being to harass a couple of rats they didn't like the "looks" of right out of school, and they succeeded. Not an indictment of the Corps of Cadets, I know they have reasons for a lot of the hazing of rats, but as Alum07 pointed out, those people I mentioned were bullies, plain and simple, and stood out as just that.
But will it work in the ACC against better opponents is my worry.
Actually, if UNC wins it all then I'm pretty sure that piercepj takes home the crown. National championship pick is worth 320 points right?
Oh man you nailed it
We've closed the gap down to just over 5%, if you haven't voted, please vote now, and then again after 12 o'clock.. today is the last day
Generalizations of a group of people that large does them a disservice. I certainly don't identify as any of those things.
Edit: Vehmently Agree
Dmb quote on his twitter. Quick somebody tell him we can introduce him to Dave.
I always assumed it was the UVA Ladies Wahoos
So you get my point.
Saw it last night...
Wasn't as bad as people made it out to be. I was entertained for the most part throughout. That said, it really did suffer from having way too many plotlines all going at once. The whole part with the senator should have been scrapped, Wonder Woman, while her part was great at the end, really felt forced in, and should have been saved for the JL movies, after her solo act. And the dream sequences just added to the confusion. Rip all those parts out, and you have a good movie. Well, except for the long, drawn out final act, where... I mean Spoiler Alert yeah, they're totally going to kill off the main focal point of the Justice League right before that franchise really gets going... Yeah, sure... ok... Ruined the whole ending that they were trying to make it so incredibly sad that SM died when the movie was called 'Dawn of Justice', there hasn't been a Justice League movie, yet, and SM is arguably the main focal point of it. It just didn't work.
and a lot of people who frequent this very site. I can't tell if his comment is supposed to be sarcastic or not. Either way, it was ill advised.
Even George Clooney could have pulled this one off...
Blasphemy!

You're stereotyping a LOT of people, guy.
The hazing is bad, but the program has really suffered it looks like. In 55 years of ACC competition this was their worst year (But tied ranked 33rd in the NCAA) :( And 3 bad years in a row now yesh
Lol, yeah, why on earth would anyone believe they would be ACTUALLY sodomized. I mean, there's no precedence for it. It's never happened before. Jeez, what stupid softee's these kids are.
(sarcasm, it'll get after ya)
Hazing... the annual ritual where the bullied have their turn as bullies
Just because someone was a shithead to you in the past doesn't mean its right to be a shithead to someone else down the line.
As a millennial (25 currently), I'm gonna go ahead and respectfully disagree. I've never really understood the appeal of hazing, either as the haze-ee or the haze-er. I completely understand that in the military you're going to get yelled at, you're going to be pushed, but at least there I can see some sort of benefit or self-improvement because they push you to try harder and harden yourself for the military.
However, this kind of hazing is bonkers to me. Dude joined a swimming team, not a fraternity or the military (not equating the two). This kind of hazing serves no purpose in my mind other than giving upperclassmen an excuse to feel superior to freshmen.
I hate the "safe spaces" BS and all the political correctness that goes on today, but hazing falls in a MUCH different category for me. Hazing to me is just a power trip by upperclassmen (this is also why I never considered joining a fraternity). It's made-up hardships that supposedly brings the team or frat brothers or sorority sisters closer together. I tend to believe I can become close with people without that kind of BS made-up hardship, but you may disagree.
Go Hokies anyway.
Buckle UP- 4* WR from Ocean Lakes Tahj Capehart just got an offer from Bama..
I would humbly disagree if he really was made to swallow a live Gold Fish that is plenty of steps too far, the team clearly missed several opportunities to check themselves before they wrecked themselves and for that deserves the book thrown at them.
It is not about if this kid is tough enough to wear the uniform, it is about what amount of power do we want to give dumbfuck college kids to make the lives of other dumbfuck college kids miserable.
If the Coach wanted to scream and yell and induce stress to test out the kids do it all the live long day, make them get used to drinking pool water, make it as miserable as possible if that's the way they think will best improve the team.
But the difference is that a Coach can easily be held accountable for if his actions workout, and is charged with monitoring the safety of his team, and ideally has years of both experience, training, and perspective. None of that is gonna exist for some college kid who thinks he is hot shit.
The musical was also a patriotic film, and was exceptionally well-done.
I thought Argo was a decent movie about an interesting topic, but I didn't see the brilliance in the movie as a work of art.
It also didn't provide specifics - the threats could have been to withhold sodomy and that's crossing the line for c-ville men's swimming.

I get your point, but I flat out disagree with it.
