Let's GO HOKIES!
Since it is only on ESPN3, here is a link. Hopefully it works.
Semi-OT: Has anyone gotten married at the River Course? Every time I've played there I've always thought it would be an awesome scenic venue.
Every game that this team can get out there and play against college competition will be worth it, even if its just to get the practices allowed for their continued season to continue to gel. There is nothing better than the mental repetition of game play to allow Buzz to teach this team critical lessons. Giving him two or three more weeks of that would be a huge boost to how this team comes back in the summer ready to work.
What about the less glamorous post season tournaments? We should surely make the CBT CBI and what is this I am hearing about a Las Vegas 16? The way I see it, any post season means a few more allowed practices and games for this inexperienced squad.
Question : this stems from my ignorance of the NCAA rulebook. How are coaches permitted to run workout sessions but not practice?
I think one of my kids birthdays was 9 months after a Hoke game, but I'd have to double check the date with my friend Jack Danials who was there that night
I would say it was less exciting because of the outcome not being as close, but nothing was ever so sweet and satisfying.
Brock Berlin fan for life.
"Edith, that top looks so good on you, do you think I could borrow it sometime? Such a fresh look. Also, can you help me with my hair, I don't think I have the wave down yet"
What does the wife like, water polo?
The game is big for UT too.
My wife and I planned for the wedding to be done before football season because we knew that would just be a bad plan.
It was 67 and we lost in the elite 8 fwiw
This isn't a wedding story but back in 2010/2011 I lived in Aspen, CO working as a fly fishing guide. Whichever year it was, that we smoked Miami at home, I had a guided trip scheduled that afternoon. I had tried to get out of it with my boss prior to watch the game with some other Hokies. Nope, he said it was an important client and he needed me on the trip. Anywho, nerdy guy with shoulder length hair gets in my truck with his friend, we start driving down to the river. I'm ready to fish, but pissed I won't see the game, so I kindly ask them to not discuss the game because I'm recording it. They don't seem to care but say ok, we will see, and start talking about what they do for work. Nerdy guy says he works for computer/internet/video company and the other guy does something else. I ask nerdy guy what company and he says Youtube, to which I retort, so do you just upload videos all day? He stares me down and says, "I OWN YOUTUBE." It was Chad Hurley, one of the creators. The donk in the back was his other roommate who told me he thought Youtube was a stupid idea and wanted nothing to do with it. Chad pays for his fishing trips now.
Ended up having a good trip with them, Chad would taunt me every 15 minutes looking at his iphone reading out college football scores but never the VT-UM game. They caught some fish and we had a good time. I went home, locked myself in my apartment and pounded a case of Coors original and watched the replay of the game and went crazy by myself. Pretty solid day to miss the VT-UM game on the tube.
Upcoming wedding story: One of my best friends (LOLUVA) told me he was getting married this fall. I'm a groomsman. I told him "I don't give a $hit if I'm a groomsman, if you do it weekend of Battle at Bristol, I WILL NOT be there. The wedding is the following weekend, which is the ECU home game. I'll live with it and probably tailgate in Blacksburg, then drive to Cville for the wedding day of.
That's because to him it wasn't!
Sat next to Sam Rogers in an exam this morning. He mentioned workouts but said there was no conditioning?
More exciting than the November of 2003, 31-7 beat down of Miami?
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. I am disappointed I have not heard this story before
He'll have more time for TKP that way!
Wasn't there one famous baby that was conceived by a virgin or something? You're right. Fireman should take no chances. Quarantine is the only solution.
Same here, but away games so you don't feel bad about missing it. Best one was a Hokie wedding when VT played at Clemson and we had a pick 6, punt return and kick return for touchdown in 2007. I believe Macho caught the kickoff running back into the endzone, turned around and took it to the house
We need to upvote this man and let him start a whole new thread for these.

Dear God anything but the Packers. Now if he wants to be a Viking... I can vibe with that.

Pitt at home? Let's do it again.
