Blue Chip prospects in college basketball are usually one and dones, and they don't really help a program that much. While every once in a while it helps to have one guy like that to help you make a run and enhance your profile, I don't believe it's Buzz's goal, he's even said he doesn't think he'll ever get those guys to Blacksburg. I think if there's a Virginia guy who fits then we have a chance. But Championship teams outside of Duke and Kentucky the past few years are made up mostly of upperclassmen. And if you look at some of the seniors around the country some of them were ranked right around where we're getting our recruits now and some are ranked far below (Buddy Heild, Frank Mason from Virginia). We're a likely tourney team, or at least bubble team, next year. Buzz will get, and already has gotten, the right guys in. Recruiting is good, and it will only be hurt if we underperform, which I doubt Buzz is even capable of doing.

I agree though, that playing more than one game in an invitational tournament would be more beneficial to this team. Doesn't matter which one, and we'll have postseason play, NIT or not.

My wife's (a Hokie) cousin (a Hokie) scheduled her wedding (to another Hokie) the weekend of December 5th, 2014 (the ACCCG), and all 4 of us had just moved to Charlotte earlier that year. I openly told both of them how much I hated them for this because they had just officially screwed our season over before it began, cuz duh, it was only March. Then we actually get to the season, we beat W&M, we have a big party with all of our other Charlotte Hokie friends as we watch us beat Ohio St, and I cursed them up and down as soon as the game was over. To which the bride said "Who are you kidding, we will f*ck this season up, it's what we do." I was so mad I had to be escorted home (I had too much bourbon). We lost the next week to ECU. Moral of this shitty story, you think you know someone and then they turn out to be a fake ass Hokie fan who worries more about their own stupid wedding than they do the Hokie football team winning. I got married in June, because I am not a douche.

Sorry, that post just had to be released from my soul once and for all, it was therapeutic.

I believe that is a sauna suit (sweat suit or whatever you want to call it). It's designed to make you perspire more while you work out. I bought my dad one recently because his current sauna suit at the time was a trash bag and I wanted him to look less like a homeless person while he works out.

My cousin did get married down in Jacksonville FL when we played Clemson in 2007. That was when Royal and Macho had kick returns for TDs and our CBs were flat out destroying Clemson WRs.

I spent most of the reception at the bar in the building watching the game. There was a big family picture being taken at the bottom of this huge stairwell. A family member had to go looking for me. As I stood at the top of the stairs the entire family (outside of my immediate family...they were laughing) were giving me the death look.

I don't regret it...don't regret it at all.

I think if you are east of the Mississippi it should be on the "ACC Network". So check your local listings, I think Blacksburg and in DC it is usually FOX or the CW.

Very similar for me, except the first one was -12 days for the Boise game so that was his first one he attended. Wedding in June, 2nd kid born in June and third one due this August...

One of my buds got married the day of that insane multiple overtime Syracuse game and there was a bar right below the reception hall. The new bride got pretty pissed when we all kept disappearing downstairs in groups to watch the game. Life happens unfortunately...

I schedule having babies outside of football season.

First born: 12/27 (this one was due 1/3)
Second born: 8/10
Third born: due in early May

I also got married in March. Just takes planning!
