If the OP is to be believed (and I have no reason not to) then Berman literally tried to create a scandal simply because some student athletes didn't want to talk to him and the school wouldn't make them.

It's not AT ALL that he goes against the "TKP narrative" and, to me anyway, it's not even that he always presents a negative attitude towards VT (but, really, I've never seen a good word about our athletics from him). It's that at every opportunity he bitches/wines/complains about our coaches/department/school in the most hyperbolic fashion possible. Again, see the OP. He asked some students about a situation which is understandably very sensitive, they turned him down, he wen't to the university and ultimately levied accusations at the administration.

So we have someone who, in theory, is a journalist covering VT sports who constantly tries to belittle the team and university he's covering. Why then is it so surprising when a large percentage of people on a fan page for said team hate him? He wants to take every opportunity to shit on our university then turnabout is fair play.

EDIT: And I do try to avoid Berman as much as possible, it's not like I'm out there looking for something to be pissed off at the guy for. I don't like his style, I don't usually like what he has to say, so I try to avoid his articles. But, every once in a while, an article will slip into my facebook timeline or get referenced here and if it's something unnecessarily derogatory then I'll probably call it out as such when I see it.

Make the argument that the awards ceremony doesn't start until 8:30, everything before then is just the red carpet stuff.

We've got a loooooong time till NSD, a lot of things can happen between now and then.

Allen has been met with hard contact at the highest point on two shot attempts. He got the first one to go but missed the second. I don't know how they could've been any more blatant though.

The analysis is correct regarding our being able to win if we get to the line... The problem is nothing is being called on our end, even with a ton of contact. Oh well, so goes ACC officiating. You never know what you are going to get from night to night.
