Though the pair had never worked together before, Hilgart says "from the first moment I ever spoke with him" that he felt Fuente was the kind of coach who put the right kind of value on strength and conditioning.
Now, Hilgart's hoping to become the "primary vehicle of instilling the vision of the head football coach" in each and every athlete on the roster.
I like this notion of being the eyes and ears of your general, and peering into the future. Was it that the previous regime no longer spoke about their vision for the program? This is something that players, recruits, fans and donors can take notice of.
Been a while since I posted stuff coming out of the workshop...

I am in agreement that a change all around the university has been neccesssary and from the looks so far, what has happened could be very successful. Like Bragghokie said eXciting times to be a HOKIE.
Jim Cavanaugh's concern was that Green would eat himself into being a guard, not a running back.

There are a couple big d-linemen in the 757 for 2017. Hopefully the new staff can reel them in.
Jamie Naughright appears to be obsessed with sex and sexuality. The list of people that she has attacked with sexual claims is astounding.
We all know about the 1996 case by now but Peyton Manning wasn't the only person that she went after. The Associated Press released a report in 1997 outlining a whopping 33 claims made by Naughright (then known as Jamie Whited) against athletes, trainers, coaches and administrators between 1990 and 1996. It seems that almost anyone who came in contact with her in the 90's, assaulted or harassed her in some way, shape, or form.

The original AP story from the original lawsuit, which she settled in 97 for $300,000 the report concluded that in her own reports she participated in the behavior and in some did not report the behavior as offensive,
4 of her complaints had merit.

I think that is something that we had lost in the S&C department over the past few years. I'm glad the old S&C coach retired with Beamer. I appreciate everything he had done for the Hokies but I think it was his time to move on as well as I think the game and needed environment had passed him by. Love the articles about Hilgart. Exciting times to be a Hokie!!
The player gave an interview NOT a sworn testimony, I wouldn't tell the media that will inform a rabid fan base that I was ratting out a coach and players of said fan base. His sworn testimony has been given that Butch Jones and at least one Tenn player didn't like that he supported someone outside the team.

Would be interested to read those and see where that source material is from and what other dumb lawsuits she has. Specifically if those reporting these claims have ties to UT or not. I would do so but having VPN issues with the great firewall.

I assume you mean .500 in ACC play in which case we need to beat Wake and take one of Pitt/Miami to guarantee .500.
It's late and I'm bored. My kid won't go to sleep so why not screw with people!
There's an energy about the program that I haven't felt in a long time. I like the Fuente hire more as the weeks go by.
