I brought my 9-year old nephew to Blacksburg for the UNC game to see his first ever Tech game. He proceeded to eat 7 Carol Lee donuts during the tailgate. Apparently that did not set well with his stomach, as we found out later that day...
nevermind. that was just going to open a can of worms I'd rather not pursue on this site.
One minute and the chairs are empty? I'd say they're late, unless they meet up elsewhere.
They don't lose games to "non SEC" style teams (which doesn't make sense given the variety of offenses in the SEC) they lose games to good teams, like any other good team does from time to time. That was a talented Ole Miss team that just trashed OK state. A&M with a Heisman winner QB and tons of offensive talent, Auburn team that went to the National championship both times they beat Saban, good South Carolina team in a down year, talented Oklahoma team after perhaps the most disappointing end to a regular season you could imagine with the Kick 6 forcing you to miss out on a shot at the SEC/Natl ship, and a GREAT Ohio State team with ridiculous talent on offense. I don't say that to make excuses for losses, but I hope you realize how ridiculous it is to shame a program for losing to good teams "sometimes."
If those and LSU were the only teams We had lost to since 2009, we would all be VERY happy campers.
They have been pimping the hell out of them though. Using old shows to create new shows. "Best of" road trips etc
I mean, the antics of that trio and their general sense of humor is great entertainment and I love that show and those guys but Jeremy did make the decision pretty tough for BBC when he physically assaulted another individual at work. I understand why his contract was terminated and I feel badly for BBC that they are losing a great money maker but they did what they had to do. It would have been a PR nightmare for them to retain Jeremy. It sends a message that the BBC doesn't want to send and I don't blame them for that.
All that being said, I'm looking forward to their show on Amazon. I'm pretty happy my fiancee got amazon prime.
I have to admit, I can't wait to see their new show. I think the BBC was nuts to fire him and effectively cancel the old show. Suspend, fine, etc would all have been good, firing is just going to hurt themselves in the long run.
I hope they didn't consider if they should have Carol Lee Donuts but only how many is too many.
I'm going with 6 as a good number per person (9 if you are under 18).
Gentlemen, you can't fight in here! This is the war room!
1. There were several instances where they did not expect a Tech player, especially Leday at the top of the key, to drive in against their pack line defense. They were slow to react thereby giving our player enough time to establish themselves in the lane, at which point its difficult for a defender to do much with the new larger charge circle in play this season.
2. The fouls/free throw attempts are down (we are currently 3rd in attempts and 9th in made in DI) with the increase in quality competition but we still forced our way to the line more against UVA (22/17) than they were allowing on the season so far, which is also true for the NC St (22/16) and WVU (30/28). The St Joes game(11/16) is the only game this season where I think we have had less FT attempts than the opposing teams average. Even in a bad loss, our ability to get to the line is impressive. The Iowa State game where we went to the line 25 times is amazing considering the Cyclones foul the least in Division I at 12.69 FTA per game allowed. We essentially went to the line twice the amount of their average.
3. The inside edge of the line is considered out of bounds.
I read up on it a little bit today. The contract is confusing in that they exercised his fifth year (why?) but I guess at the same time it didn't hurt as long as he didn't sustain an injury.
The stuff about Shockwave was posting the links to paysites and only the links and then arguing with the mods about site rules. Not about his glass half empty attitude.
Well if the shoes fits, ya know.
unfortunately... Shockwave told it like it is. Sometimes a "glass is half empty" kind of person is necessary to keep unwarranted optimism in check.
Who runs the film projector?
Um, Blind Carbon Copy is very useful today. s/
Both of those + our 150th+ ranked OOC schedule really reared its ugly head. That was the year the team had those killer Ut Prosim Nike's with the VT shield on the heel if I remember correctly.
I have to imagine it is rough for them. It would be 1/2 of what we would feel if they beat us in football.
Stiney....he'll get after ya
Leday may or may not have made contact with London Perrantes after the shot was away, it really wasnt clear from the one angle that they kept playing.
Actually, you're right. I'm not remembering RG3's contract properly. Skins technically have him under contract for next year, but his only guarantee is the injury guarantee where he gets paid if he gets hurt this season, they can cut him without costing the team a thing. He gone.
Jarrett Boykin signed to Bills for 2016.
I thought it was still an option. Of course they're not going to keep him, though.
Exactly what VT needs, IMO.

Reading up on the new BBC show, I don't have high hopes. Looks like there is a very good chance this is going to be a disaster from the start. To say there is a disconnect between Chris Evans and the producers is putting it lightly.
