Senior Year Highlights

His Senior year highlights are surprisingly good. From his Junior year, it doesnt look like hes a College QB, his Senior year though, hes got a legitimate shot, some of those throws were ridiculous.

Im surprised hes rated so low, Im also surprised by the lack of "why are we offering this guy hes a low 3 star" comments...

If we got him, Caleb Evans, Josh Jackson thats an extremely under-rated stacked class (solely based off useless highlight films haha)

Applied to VT and UVA, got accepted at both. Chose the good guys because they have a better Engineering program. Plus at the time there had just been a huge bust of a cheating ring in the UVA engineering dept. Kinda turned me off from them.

If they have decided this is the best decision for them - that's fine, but I for one will not spend my New Year's Eve watching more than a quarter of any night game that does not feature VT.

I couldn't agree more. I love watching cfb (including teams other than VT), but NYE is one of those nights that I never plan on sitting in front of the TV watching non-VT football.

Good comment on his speed. I remember thinking that we'd never really know how fast Vick was because he just seemed to be as fast as he needed to be when he needed to be it. As for height, I'm with those who just want production. We don't have to be the supplier to the NFL here, I'll take a great college player over a mediocre pro prospect most any day, especially at QB.

It's so hard to judge his arm by highlights, because you just never see the bad decisions or bad passes. But there is good zip on a lot of those passes, so it looks strong.

His speed? The first play didn't impress me all that much -- but then the rest of the plays it looks like he pretty much runs as fast as he needs to. I don't think he has MV7 speed, but he definitely has a great burst and high top-end.

What really is remarkable and sets him apart is dat balance. Amazing. Reminds me of Lil Sweetness hisself. Can't teach that. I want him on the field for the good guys with the ball in his hands.

Alabama gets in because they deserve it. You may not like their style of play, or that they have been college football royalty for the last 7 years. But they earned it, they have a really cool defense, they do some things that pretty much nobody else does (or can do) with some pseudo 2 gap stuff (I'm far from an expert, but from what I can tell they play an interesting mix of one and two gap responsibility and have found great success this year). They kind of made the 3-3-5 over their base front because of spread teams and didn't drop off in run defense. Personally, I enjoy watching Bama, they were what I always wanted Virginia Tech to become, and personally, I enjoy watching a more classic smashmouth team still winning in the age of the spread, and I have always loved watching excellent defense.

Turned down UVA, GT, Duke, Harvey Mudd to go to VT in Engineering. (Princeton did not accept me). Have never had a Hoo sound surprised, even though my Dad went to UVA Grad school (business), and have met lots of Hoo's through him. I think the Grad school is more real than the prep part of the school, as most went to undergrad somewhere else.

No doubt we screwed around big time in the first half of the year. We should have had at least 2 more wins than we did, but couldn't finish to save our lives.

Well, that's what I said. The bottom line is I don't think Kyshoen did anything to make Washington want to save $600,000 by cutting him. I'd be shocked if he was cut. Of course, this all assuming he doesn't lay an egg in the offseason.

I watched a few minutes of the Clemson game and none of the Bama game. I had a party in the neighborhood so I did that instead. A different night of the week I would have watched until they got out of control. I watched hardly any football new years day mainly because I had very little interest in a lot of those match ups.
