Well the first article was from 6 months ago. Apparently things have changed in the months since then.
Not sure if mentioned elsewhere on this thread but I think the overall bowl season was rather disappointing. Our game was a good one if you're not partial. I'm glad we got the win but did it in true VT fashion in not putting Tulsa away and letting them make a game of it. Who would have guess it would have been Dadi to get the 4th down sack, and a punishing one, should be a gif.
Anyhow, TCU's game was rather exciting although you had to stick around till the 2d half to have seen it. There was maybe one other good game. Overall though the games were mostly uninteresting matchups with unimpressive results. Even the playoff games weren't that exciting.

I just watch the game and don't worry about the other stuff.
But I already know I'm dealing with a delay with my cable box anyway.

The original trilogy stands on its own. I understand the desire to fill in the backstory with prequels, but did not like how they filled it in with nonsense. I was complaining about the (lack of) logic of major players in the plot of the prequels.
I wouldn't be too worried about Ford. He gets a deep ball every now and then but a majority of his yardage comes on 10-15 yard back shoulder comebacks and wide receiver screens.
I saw that Wired article today, and I think it will be awesome when they make that transition. I think it'll be a game changer for the industry when people drop their cable packages left and right.
I also hope Iger is overestimating when he says it'll be five years before we see a direct-to-consumers model from Disney

Assuming 'tuition' includes an athletic fee, because that is the real determining factor. I found out the hard way.
My first two years, I bought tickets and went to most home games. Then we fired Seth, hired his ex-assistant and students were even less interested in going to mens basketball games. So i decided not to give VT any more money, I didnt even bother with the lottery.. I just showed up before tipoff, got a ticket or got ushered in the side doors because I looked like a 20something student.
My spring semester of senior year, i was a part-time student and working, and mens bball was amidst a last place ACC finish. I only tried to go to one game, UNC, and was denied because I hadn't paid an athletic fee as part of tuition, since I was part-time. I understood, but it was disappointing. I walked back to Center St, day-drank and watched it on TV, we lost anyways.
No regrets though, that part-time semester saved a me a lot of money.
The same Skyler Howard who has passed for 221/403 for 3145 yards and 26 TD (14 INT) while rushing for 500 yards & 6 TD in his first year as a starter? He was good enough to lead WVU to a #35 Offensive S&P+ ranking.

But seriously. I never knew all that. That's incredible. I knew about oil and maintenance etc just from a 15 minute discussion with the Tesla folks at Tysons. They were awesome and insightful. I loved her response when we asked why the EPA gave a mileage estimate when theirs no gas. She simply said "The EPA feels like they need to meddle into everything." Tesla is changing the game. It will take awhile for everyone else to get caught up but oh what a time that'll be.
That hits on my main concern with Searels going to Miami. He was a decent/good OL recruiter for us, but in Miami he's going to be in another situation where top recruits will be gift-wrapped for him, and he's shown that he can close in that kind of situation. So he's going to recruit well. For our rival. No bueno.

Seriously, congrats. If more of us bought, we could start to push electric vehicles over the adoption curve or to the repair shop whatever is around that proverbial bend. If its an adoption curve, then heck yes. A world of non petrol fueled religious animosity is surely a safer one.
Plenty of schools also have higher student fees than Virginia Tech as well. They get in for free because they've already been charged for admission, or at least their parents have.
Don't forget that students who don't win the lottery have to pay $10 for a seat, even if Cassell is half empty. Unless they want to pay $70 for five ACC games, that's $14 a game.

Jobless students aren't going to pay that for a bad-to-mediocre team, and many would not pay that for a good team. It shouldn't be so hard to fill up a less than 10,000 seat gym when your student body is more than 25,000, but it's being made harder. BTW, before you argue about revenues, there are plenty of schools where students get in free.
Yep, for basic function that makes sense. I am curious as to how often they threw the deep ball. I hope they still find ways to use it effectively or we will be limiting some of our talent like Ford.
