I know, right?
Lofty expectations will get after ya.
I saw him on TV during the Dolphins-Giants game last night, he was in street clothes.
Hopefully he is bff's with Khalil
Interesting.... Thomas Guerry and Chuck Cantor both just followed 6'6 237lb WDE Joshua Kaindoh from IMG Academy on Twitter.
He is a 5* 2017 prospect. Doesn't show a VT offer yet on 247 but would be nice to offer almost anybody at IMG Academy haha
I don't want any of our current toys to break the day after Christmas either!
He Fuent out and got a great QB.
Thanks, French!

While the guy would kick the living crap out of me, if we're just looking at size, he's only 5'-9", 145lbs.
I feel your pain, grew up in Mecklenburg county NC and had Tarheel fans all around.
Clemson being "one of the big boys" is justifying over 30 years of irrational Clemson fan mindset. I am not happy about it. I cannot stress enough how annoying it is growing up and living in upstate SC.
Why would Motley even think of leaving? He's only got one year of eligibility left.
I never realized Paul Johnson didn't have an offensive coordinator at GT. I believe he had offensive coordinators at Navy and usually offensive head coaches have OCs even if the OC isn't the one calling the plays. It's tough to run a major college football program even when you have a full staff, so I'm surprised CPJ never hired an OC.
In your experience, at some point is there such a thing as being "too tall" as an offensive linemen? I mean, forget the fact that your QB has to throw over you, but in order to get leverage and play low, a tall guy has to get even lower. It seems that at 6' 8", nearly every defensive player stands a good chance at getting lower leverage on him.
Rockfish tourney this past weekend in Mathews was won by a fish caught all the way up near Tangier. Haven't heard the weight yet, but this "heat wave" hasn't done the rockfishing any favors down this part of the Bay.
Granted injury played a part, but 1st round draft pick Paxton Lynch agrees with this statement.
Trade Miami for Louisville in the divisions to keep the rivalry, and allow the NC BBall schools to schedule each other as OOC games, like they wanted, if they still want to. Then you have 3 rotating other divisional games, and it removes the lack of parity when one team gets to play WF every season while another has to play FSU.
You got that right. I was at the pond on the Elizabeth River last year after the kill and was amazed at the size and numbers of dead trout lining the banks. The eagles enjoyed it, we were saddened. I am encouraged by the reports of spikes (small trout) being found this past summer, so hopefully this is a short term depletion, but it literally pained me to see all those trophies turned into bird food. I have fished the Elizabeth the last few winters, with much success for reds, stripers, and sometimes trout (never got a really big one), but that day, we caught nada.
Teams with depth don't have to play freshmen.
He gets off on the snap well and has a good first step. Shows some ability to use his wIngspan and get extension.
He will be a project. He has to develop bend at the waste and more explosion in his hips. The video doesn't show him trying to reach or scoop quick players and that will be the real test. It looks like he has the feet, but can he step laterally and then pop his hips to inundate himself between them ball and the defender? I need to see it.
I think this is kind of the downside to message boards. There have been maybe two comments about Lawson's attitude from anyone in the program, and both were plenty vague. But we keep commenting on this and our stupid lizard brains see more and more people discussing it and turn it into a consensus that must be true because it's been talked about so many times. When in actuality, there were a couple of off-handed comments that could maybe be construed as negative, and a bunch of chatter about that keeps getting repeated.
Not intended to slight you at all either, just musing on why it may seem like this is the case.

# | QB Jerod Evans Sees Situation at Tech That's "Almost Too Good to be True," Picks the Hokies or maybe SL's offense wasn't ready for primetime and needed the most veteran signal caller who has trained under excellent coaches (SMU coach not to be named)
VT offense has been offensive for far too long...Motley looked like LT in SL's offense (taking too much of a pounding to be an effective QB - have you seen what teams try to do to QBs? - if not look at what we try to do to them)... to me, SL is kinda like Chip Kelly... "he can't say sh**"
JMHO, but when these guys all look much better competing in the spring, don't say I didn't tell you
Then where are we gonna play Joey Slye?
The spring game baring bad weather is going to be fun.
You echo my thoughts exactly. I'm almost holding my breath just hoping our new toys don't break by the day after Christmas. Can't find any fault in being excited, though, unless it's the 8 months before we actually get to play with them. And I thought LAST offseason was long and hard to take. Wonder if my ticket from last year's shortened ride on the Hype Train will entitle me to a good seat in this year's club car.

Or maybe SL just played the best player at the time. Lawson was a freshman. Motley had been in the system a while.
I'd anticipate some improvement on the offense next year just by virtue of another year of experience for some of VT's best players, and the fact that the O-Line has been improving.
