Maybe a bad nights sleep in a hotel will get after them but I doubt it. These days with how AAU tournaments run, most kids at this level are used to playing games multiple days in a row, sometimes with multiple games per day. There was no information indicating any injuries suffered during the Liberty game either so I don't think that will be a factor.
Wouldn't be any different from the last six years

Not so fast my friend, Urban made his splash at Utah and did very well there. Also BYU has some advantages that outweigh the strictness of the school, like players that tend to be older (after returning from mission work) and have first dibs on mormon players, not sure how helpful the second part is, but I would think having 22-26 year lads playing 18 year olds would provide a physical advantage.
The folks at UVa are diabolical in their lameness.
I think they'll continue to suck, but they might continue to suck some decent recruits into the abyss.
Nijman got better and can be a very good OL. Don't forget about Austin Clark.
Fuente is pushing for some JUCO OL hard though. Next year we will have a better pool of high school OL prospects

Losing to your old team could make a drinking problem you have much worse. It could lead to an all night bender that causes you to get fired the next day when you show up to practice reeking of alcohol and slurring your words. It could lead you to going to rehab to get that drinking problem back under control. It could cause you sue the university you worked for, because in California, alcoholism is considered a handicap, and thus could make your termination wrongful.
That's what losing to your old team can do. Ask Steve Sarkasian
I'm not sure that means much. We need 5 - 10 Wyatt Tellers not just 2. I'm calling Conte and Nijman half Tellers. McLaughlin has slipped and it's not clear that the other guys will develop much more. Gallo did a good job for a first year starter. We'll see. Maybe our gorilla of a new OL coach will help.

The thing I like about this guy, his Twitter account is full of teammates congratulating him and encouraging him to do big things. I think that says a lot about his leadership in the locker room.

This is great news, but we need a solid O-line to pretect any QB. I fear a seriously talented QB lose his edge because he's getting pummelled all the time (like in the several recent years!). Keep it going Coach Fuente!.
Sometimes it's tough to say. Conventional wisdom said that Ohio State losing Tom Herman wouldn't matter because Urban Meyer is an offensive genius. They weren't nearly as good this year as they were last.
Evans looks to be a little bit better of a passer. More accurate and certainly very versatile in the types of passes I see him executing. Also like his decision making. He has a couple more years of playing under his belt so that is also a plus. Lawson has a little taller frame which could be an advantage and he looks to be a physical nightmare. I think the key here is experience. I think Fuente would be hard pressed to throw Lawson in there when he has two other Quarterbacks with more playing experience. Just my take on it but unless if Lawson develops and picks up the playbook very quickly, I doubt he gets the call in September.
Scottie Montgomery at Duke has risen through the coaching ranks pretty fast, and as a Duke alum with both an NFL playing career and later coaching experience with the Steelers, I thought he could very possibly be the successor for Cutcliffe down the road.
