Absolutely not. He's not really a D1 QB. Great athlete, but have any of you watched him play or did you just see transferring QB and think maybe we should try and get him?

I would not waste a scholarship spot on a player with 1 year of eligibility that is very likely not going to contribute. I think his best shot to play will be at a G5 team or FCS.

I think the Memphis guys got a bum rap when it was said they were average recruiters at best. I mean, for the most part, they were trying to recruit for a pretty bad program, so you're not going to be getting 4 and 5-star guys coming out of the woodwork to play for you, regardless of how good of a recruiter you may be. Now that they have a decent program to work from, with so much optimism, they'll be able to nail some of those 4 and 5-star guys.

If some of the contract rumors are true I'd take it. 900,000, can't be fired until after year two, plus associated costs of relocating etc. and my buddy gets a 500,000 job there also, I'd take it.

Think about your career and what it would take for you to accept a job as unstable as the Texas job. 2x what you make? 3x?

Well, he had Baylor offense architect Montgomery as his HC. And like Baylor, they only run 4 plays.

You think Whit/Sands will allow scholarships to be yanked or will kids just be told they won't play? One I think is ok the other is SEC low.

At a certain point scholarship numbers say there is a limit to how many QB's you can have on a roster and still field quality backups and get young guys into the system for the future. What that number is I don't know but it can't be too far above what will be on scholarship next year, 5/6.

Shegog supplanted Vandyke this year already. He will be a staple. I expect Minor to get work at backer and at whip as back up options because I am not convinced that the staff is 100% sold that Tremaine Edmunds is ready to step in and start. I expect Lydon to get spring work at both backer and mike as well because Foster has trust in Huelskamp as a depth player.

Assuming Fuller doesn't return, the Hokies will be fine in the secondary. They have corner depth in Edmunds, Stroman, Reynolds and Facyson. Clark returns at free safety. Alexander could be a star corner next year or play rover. To me, safety depth (I have heard a ton of really positive things about Jahque Alleyne, but he is the only back up guy that returns at safety) is a huge worry spot.

DL will win with power instead of speed next year. The first half vs UVA shows it is possible (Mihota played very well-more in my film review that comes out next week). I wouldn't be shocked to see Baron slide outside if this current group of redshirting freshmen at DE aren't up go speed. If not-

Gaines-Lewis-????-Dooley (he has regressed folks. The film has not been kind to Seth Dooley.

Let's go after him too ...then Kyle Allen. We need QBs. I need QBs. Give me another. I want more. I want all the QBs

Don't you tell ME when to stop, I'll tell you when I've had enough!! Just fill it up and sign another QB.

Was just reading an article about the circus that was the Texas handling of trying hire SOMEONE ANYONE to be OC. It stated that Gilbert didn't call plays this year for Tulsa. So Texas just hired a guy for 900,000 who didn't even call plays this year?

Right? I can't see the hoos embracing a guy named Bronco. Doesn't seem like a name you commonly run into at the caviar and brie socials. Maybe part of the contact is he has to start going by Trent, or Graves, or pick any random name from the annual all-name lacrosse team.
