Who would be the 4?
Experience can't be understated. I get that. However, having 4 different coaches in 5 years for a unit that relies so heavily on cohesion and communication doesn't make me confident that they'll dominate much of anyone this year. I hope that whoever the QB is will be taught to get rid of the ball quickly and then put into a position to do that. I expect lots of quick slants and screens early and often this season. I would also expect to see some zone read option in the running game with 4-wide sets to spread the defense out to help the OL out in any way possible.
Can we suit up Bobby Boucher? We have had issues with LB play this year so he might come in handy since we are playing right by his house. Maybe he will show up at half time and we can win the Bourbon Bowl!

Hoping Mason's right in these observations:
One thing that jumps off the screen about Fuente's offenses
They are incredibly competent. Very few blown assignments. Great execution.โ Mason Naumann (@3rdand31) December 6, 2015
Fuente actually runs a lot of the same schemes that Loeffler does...
His offenses just run them waaaaaay more efficient and confident.โ Mason Naumann (@3rdand31) December 6, 2015
Deleted because I posted this on the wrong thread.
And to add, how infuriating it was to watch both 'immobile' and mobile QB's get long run after long run.
Frustrating and lost us a few games this year, IMHO
Opening line is VT -14.
Edit: Was just looking at all the spreads, and we are by far the biggest favorite of all the bowl games. I think that says more about Tulsa than it does us.
Less to do with our program, more to do with Greenberg.
Fuente cannot do any on-field coaching as long as the current staff is in place. But I'm sure he is not barred from talking with existing coaches. He's already been chatting with players after practice (which he's allowed to do). He just can't actively coach them during practice time and film sessions, as I understand.

# | Per Memphis Beat Writer, New Hokie OL Coach Vance Vice to join VT immediately OL will be our most experienced starting group next season. I am expecting a more effective utilization of the talent we have by Fuente.
I do believe he is not allowed to.
Woah now, Leoffler is still calling the plays for this game so lets not get ahead of ourselves
The only thing that I get irritated about now is when they talk about how Urban Meyer plays his "starters" on STs and is very unique in that. Ummm....who did he learn that from ???? Frank, and I know Urban has admitted as much. Frank changed the way special teams are played.
USCe has an inflated sense of importance, both their fans and admin. They would not accept a lower level coach coming in and getting the head whistle and only a top tier coordinator from the SEC or maybe the BIG/BIG 10. Since they weren't getting any of them worth anything this is what we got.
Yeah, it makes me appreciate Whit that much more.
Where have you three been all the times I've brought this up?
What's unbelievable about the South Carolina debacle is that they had a month and a half head start on this process when Spurrier resigned on October 13th, and yet they still bungled the hell out of this.
Ironically, not redshirting Lawson may make him more likely to transfer. He would need to sit out a year (unless he stepped down a level) so he could redshirt then. However, I don't think he is going to transfer. He is 20 or 21 and should be starting next year.
For that matter, why are they putting bowl games in undesirable destinations?
Well at least they don't have a bowl game in Detroit....
oh, wait...nvm
Vice was just added. No picture, but adding his name makes it official.

I would contend that the term "minor" is also context-dependent. A normal person, walking around, etc. can recover from a meniscus tear with physical therapy or surgery, depending on the extent of damage. For a D-I athlete whose position requires high-speed running, quick movements, and pivoting on the damaged knee, I would not consider a meniscus tear "minor."
Dadi - "Man...what's that smell!? Who farted!?"
Maddy to Marshall - "Man, was that you?"
Marshall - "Nah man, I thought that was you.."
Ken - "....."
Tyrod is having a really good year. Still seem to handcuff him a little bit (not many attempts a game) but that's moreso because they are doing an old-school run-first play tough D style this year. Would probably be getting more hype if he hadn't missed a few games with that MCL injury because that kind of messed up the Bills season. They'd probably be a solid wildcard pick right now if they had Tyrod for those games.

Shit.
