That's my understanding. For all the talk about Brewer being a "coach on the field", you'd think you'd give him a set of plays to work with and let him call the play at least, instead of just burning the play clock to zero waiting on the sideline to get the call in.

That said, I think it's obvious at this point they don't really trust Brewer to see the D all that well. That's one reason to like what Lawson brrings -- in the few snaps he took, he seemed to identify where to go with the ball well, even if his mechanics weren't up to snuff.

First things I'll say...

I like how much we've gotten Bucky involved but what about Travon McMillian? Brewers thrown 5 passes compared to 2 carries by Travon McMillian.

This has annoyed me for a long time. Sometimes we line up fast and catch the defense off guard, but then we just sit there for 20 seconds without snapping the ball.

Memphis just blocked a punt.

What is the reason for that. Call a play, let the coaches see how the defense is lined up, then change the play?
