That's why criticism of individual playcalling is useless. If this play doesn't work (in an actual game that matters), we have the OC's head on a platter. But if he's working on establishing balance and reducing tendencies, the long-con if you will, then its worth it. Playcalling is an art, and like most art, it's the holistic composition that matters not the individual execution. You have to be able to execute, Pollack had to know how to splash paint artfully, but any micro dissection will diminish the composition.
I can honestly say 1) I don't own a bow tie and 2) if I did, I would never think of putting one on before I headed out to a football game (or anywhere for that matter).
better than beating F$U when they were #1 or whatever?
Admit it. You were a little nervous on Saturday morning.

I'm an any where, any time kinda guy. I've seen my fair share of good and bad. I'll have to say the best bathroom I've ever been in was at the Hard Rock Casino in Tampa, FL. I've never been to Vegas so I imagine the casino bathrooms out there are on par too.
ProTip: Hospitals have the most consistently clean public bathrooms.
Sam Rogers for MLB. He played it in high school. He has the smarts and the boom. It is about time we had a 2 way player.
Because now future teams watching game film have to be prepared to defend run to either side. Tendency is a bad thing.
Well, really you have 5 to the left or 4 to the right if you consider that your center can go either direction. 6 and 5 if you consider the same for the fullback. Then you pull the guard and that swaps the strength. The pulling guard likely gives some momentum for the push but also I imagine throws the defense's gap responsibilities off too. So then you have 3 players going for one gap, 2 of which are blockers with momentum behind them to clear the way.
Aye, it is interesting to see us run that to the weak side. Maybe most of the time the defense shifts to the strong side?
VT and ECU aren't going to be on ABC.
Somebody fill me in, why would you run the play to that side? You've got a 6-to-5 advantage on the left side and a 4-6 disadvantage to the right.
I wouldn't be surprised if Bud gave him a look as they search for depth and options. The kid was an all-state linebacker.
Interested to see Lydon but would also like Bud to move over TREMAINE MAW-FUGGING EDMUNDS.
No it doesn't happen as often to other teams because I don't watch their games. I watch our games and it happens to us more than anyone else. /s
Sorry, I've always felt complaining about officiating is a pointless endeavor. Officials make bad calls. Players make bad plays. You have to play through them. It's not like it's a new thing. They can't see everything and have the benefit of replay to make the call right.
No better way to start your day than with some pancakes....

Trying to get my kids to enjoy this movie as much as I did.

edit: hope motu gets well soon but if he's out and Lydon gives us the best chance at that position and he's as beast as everyone says then I'm excited to see him get reps.
No it isn't. If bud believes Motu is the best guy for the position right now then that's it. However, his in game play is sometimes questionable. As pointed out in other threads Motu doesn't seem to have the knack for finding that bubble and blasting through it as we like our Mike's to do.
But we'll see.
he got ejected cause it wasn't a Zima which we all know is the approved drink of choice at LOLUVA
Good point, and another reason it's "cleaner" to just assign a field goal a fixed proportionate value to touchdowns. What special teams do after a touchdown should have no statistical impact on red zone efficiency.
Thanks for the suggestions. Interesting stats.
I can see potential redundancy between scoring offense and % drives ending in points. If more drives end in points, scoring offense will naturally go up.
TOP/yard is an interesting concept. My knee-jerk is that it's just mashing TOP and total offense together into an amalgamated stat. What's your rationale there?
2nd group DTs are really good. None of the DEs have been impressive thus far this season including the first teamers.

This is what some would call a "FACT".
