I wasn't disagreeing that at some point he will have to attempt the change. My point is that we have to be willing to accept that he may not succeed at a new position either. And it's not a shot at LT or the VT coaching staff....it is just really hard to be a great NFL player.
I think he's underrated on that list, but they do say he'll likely be better this year.

Virginia Tech's Lane Stadium is one of those tough places. Meyer has never been there, but he said he called some coaching friends who have, and he has compared it to Penn State and said it's supposed to be one of the top five home-field advantages in the nation.
Over the past 20 years, Virginia Tech has an .820 winning percentage at home, seventh-best among power conference teams. Ohio State tops that list at .883.
I wouldn't have a problem picking Northwestern against the spread. I'm looking forward to that game.
The problem is, not many NFL programs were willing to take a chance on him as QB and the one who did gave up on the project after 16 months.
It's a shame, but I think if he ever wants to see the field in the NFL, that change needs to be made.

If you check out the links for the other positions, you'll find they rank our DBs as 4th in the country, defensive line as 3rd in the country

It is a bit of an insult to athletes to think he could simply switch positions and be automatic. At this point, Logan as a tight end is similar to evaluating a recruit with nothing to go on but physical skills. Let's assume 6 of 10 recruits with Logan's skill set actually are successful in college. Now let's look at the success rate of that 60 percent making it as a starter in the nfl....maybe 2 of those remaining 6. So I'm thinking Logan has around a 20 percent chance of being successful at another position. This is why he hasn't made the switch yet. I realize I have pulled these numbers out of thin air, so take it for what it is.

Other teams tried to mimic what Virginia Tech did the rest of the season, it mostly didn't work. A big reason for that is because the Hokies have the personnel to execute that kind of defense, and the other teams Ohio State played didn't.
But the Buckeyes also adjusted, drawing up plays that Meyer called "Bear beaters."
which is exactly why we have evolved into the MANBEARPIG defense

Equine jungle fever?
He spent the entire season on the roster last year and didn't progress nearly enough forcing the coaches to bring in Simms and Barkley. And that was with proper NFL coaching that was focusing on making him the starting QB down the line.
Outside of Stiney and OCain he's had a lot of good coaching in his career at QB and not much of it has taken. At a certain point you have to wonder....
Regarding 1, I kind of assume the OC position at anOSU is like the DC position at Alabama: it's there because they have to have one. Urban Meyer is in control of that offense, so I'm not sure how much of an impact OC shuffling is going to make.
