1) The defender should always have his head up and see what he is hitting, therefor his eyes are always on the ball carrier.
2) Part of tackling in space is maintaining your leverage so that even if the runner makes a move, he is still in a position to be tackled.
3) Moto would be filling a hole so the space is limited. He definitely needs to be controlled but aggressive does not mean wreckless. When he fills the hole, don't stop in it, meet the runner in the backfield instead of waiting for him. Experience will help him trust his instincts so his head doesn't tie up his feet.
Moto is a big fella back there, lay that lumber into the RB and don't let the RB be the lower player.

I don't think people are giving 2007 LSU enough credit either.....That was the most physical, hit-you-in-the-mouth offense we've ever played. 3rd and 3? Jacob Hester for 4 yards 100% of the time.
That team was talented. Matt Flynn, Glen Dorsey, Jacob Hester, Trindon Holliday, Ricky Jean-Francois, Craig Steltz, Terrance Tolliver, Keiland Williams, Brandon LaFell are all guys who I remember who I think became NFL guys.
UGA really only needs a 1 year guy as Eason will likely start at QB once on campus next year.

Watching the Miami-Nebraska game I felt the end of an era... That being major programs running a strictly option offense. I know GT still hangs on but they are far from a top-tier program.

Lambert is clearly a pretty good QB as he just won a competition against pretty highly regarded guys.
At Georgia he will fit the typical SEC mold...strong running game, heavy dose of high % play action passes. Lambert in my opinion has the same or better physical tools as Aaron Murray, AJ McCarron, Zach Mettenberger, etc, etc, etc. I wouldn't be surprised to see him have a very successful year and make it to the NFL.
At UVA he had a piss poor OL, questionable skill players, and a coaching circus. Kid made a smart decision.
Here's to hoping Matt Johns tweaks a hamstring or gets turf toe (would never wish a serious injury on a kid) and we get to watch the funniest backup QB situation in college football.

A lot of our breakdowns recently make the bear look seem Bullet Proof when executed with sound technique. Foster is a genius, but so is Urban Meyer.
A guy like that doesn't win a ton of games at 3 different programs without having great schemes and counters. I keep wondering what Urban Meyer is brewing up for this game. I mean he got his pants pulled down by the Bear last year. He has to have been cooking something up in his lab for this revenge game besides inside slants and vertical routes.

I would rank USC as the better team because of the Bosa suspension. If Bosa (and the other three) were eligible, I would rank this as the 2nd best team I've ever seen VT play....to the 2001 Miami team. And it would be close between Full Ohio State and Miami.
I can't compare it to the Bama team that beat VT 77-6 in 1973. That's before my time, but that team was 11-1 with a 24-23 loss to Notre Dame in the Sugar Bowl.
