Now I'm too pumped for the game to focus the rest of the week. Wonderful job on the video. Gave me chills at times
He might not make it through the season healthy if he's the starter Game 1
He was fine until he got to "Furthermore...."
Everything after that was dumb fan vitriol.
Meyer's 8-2 record matches the computers saying we have a 20% chance to win. I'll take that.
you play this game 5 times, we win 1 of them.
This can't be a good sign for the Dawgs.
In that first OSU example on the QB draw, doesn't pulling a lineman kind of defeat the purpose of a draw play?
Though Urban Meyer is probably a little better a coaching than me, draw plays fake the pass and then run it, but pulling a lineman is either to run the ball, or play-action.
Just seems like an odd combo to me - misdirection with the draw, but signaling run with the pulling lineman. Haven't seen that before.
Im legitimately considering dv'ing this. But I'm not sure. Clearly we have a troll. But we have a troll who is using stats. But said usage of stats is only being used for aforementioned trolling (hell halfway through the argument he just shifted to trash talk altogether). I know this clown will only continue to talk trash on an opponents board, and I'd rather not deal with it and get them gone. What say you guys?
What a fantastic article.

Me either.
So far, the only fact between these two teams is VT 35 and tOSU 21. Now that is a fact!!
Means a lot! I've never made a video before and compiled clips, learned microsoft movie maker, and put this together in 6 hours last night. I thought people were going to have it. What I want to say is...

Less than seven days, wanted to bump this for people coming back after the offseason. Make sure you stop by.
Non-conference opponents were 0-35 vs. Urban Meyer at home, all time.
Opponents were 0-36 as OSU's home opener over the previous 36 years.
Unranked opponents were 0-33 vs. OSU since 1981.
That was all before the game last year. Didn't seem to mean much, eh?
Watching those Motu examples only highlights the problems that have been pointed out before. It both cases he identifies the hole properly and meets the HB right at the line of scrimmage, but then falls backward to still allow a gain of a yard or two.
Particularly in the second example he seems to jump-stop in the hole, and gets driven over while making the tackle.
Though it's been talked about before, I sure hope he starts making those tackles a lot angrier.
Leg for the absolutely perfect metaphor. Idk why I have never heard that before

I was in Cbus for a funeral yesterday. In between the serious and somber parts of the day, the topic of discussion was the game Monday night. People seem to feel that the Buckeyes are facing a hard fought game that they will win narrowly. Plenty of concern due to what happened last year, but more so because it is game #1 and the suspensions/injuries.
It's almost time to stop talking about it and actually see what happens.
Note to those who want to go back on Sept 8th and hold people accountable for their predictions: Don't waste your time. Wrong predictions are like farts: you know you heard them, but they seem to vanish without a trace that they were ever there. :)
Love the Beamer bump at the end. Nicely done.
Videos are like Pizza and Sex, even when they're just ok, that's still pretty good. HOWEVER, this video was great. Keep it up.
Maybe being from Cleveland has made you jaded but I do buy into the VT defense hype train. For one thing, shutting down OSU's playmakers is exactly what Bud did last year. Also half of the playmakers are either suspended, hurt, or starting at a new position. I wouldn't underestimate Bud Foster with a full summer to prepare.

It's Bobby Bowden-esque.
